Was my birthday / hatch day and whatchu wanna call it on Tuesday (28/8) and I had one of the BEST birthdays of my life actually!(: Yeah and it’s the 28!

Woke up early to devote some time to complete writing Day 3 of my Melbourne travelogue (hoping to complete writing it hopefully asap..) before heading online – to a whole flood of messages, well wishes and whatsnot from all my lovely friends!

On that note, I’m really really appreciative to everyone who took out time out of their busy schedule to wish me – be it via Facebook/WhatsApp/IG/face to face/video messages/voice messages and lol.. literally every form of communication channels available! Special shout out to those went one level and above, you know who you are; what you’ve done and that’s really sweet! Thank you every single one of y’all so very much!! 🙆🙇‍♀️♥️

I shake my head in disbelief sometimes – am utterly blessed. So so much to be grateful for in life! 😢

Anyway, here’s a quick rundown of what I did on my birthday (minus the main part which I won’t share for now wahahha):

My birthday caifan lunch LOL 😂

Bread crust for lunch as well 😂😂

Birthday bouquet for myself – from myself, courtesy of Flowers and Kisses (thank you!)! Love yourself enough to be buey paisay to send yourself flowers on your hatch day cos why not? 😁✌️💐

My birthday outfit from Lovet – not new but apt for work! Flower power go! 🌸

“Ammo” for the day – one of my fave pair of earrings (moon and stars of course!). 🌙⭐

And then, it was off to work! Choosing to take up this side gig and working on my birthday (even though I don’t need to) is a choice I’m really not regretting at all. Unexpected because I was gonna make it #treatyoself day initially but I’m really glad I had this opportunity to take this up instead and it has been a BLAST – huge thanks to the two people who believed in me that I could do it. It was my first time as well!(:

After it ended, I was just gonna be boring and head on straight home after that for my night walk and prep for the last day of my side gig (was gonna be an earlier day than usual!) but I had an unexpected pop up visit from Crystal! She texted me asking where I was and I initially brushed her off cos I thought she was still at work and didn’t want her to make any unnecessary trips down or anything. Was already walking back to the MRT to get home at that point of time too. 🙊

Then I realized she was already at Bedok and it suddenly dawned on me that my bestie made the time and effort to come down all the way from her office after she knocked off just to look for me cos she remembered my offhand remark about where I was working at on my birthday. Like OMG 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 CRYSTALLLLLLL 😭😭😭😭😭😭 AWWWWW! HUGSSSS

Hahahaha obviously I cancelled my plans to go for the night walk and we met instead lah. Heng I haven’t stepped into the MRT or I would probably have ridden back to meet her hahahaha.

It was already quite late when we met (she OT-ed and my work just ended) at 9pm-ish but we had a good time just walking around and chatting away. Ya, this why we besties cos we can yak about everything and anything under the sun and this really felt like our time in Japan HAHHAAHHA.

Then we checked out the new Djitsun Mall Bedok!

We even hijacked the buskers (@theunemployedd) by doing a sing along without them knowing. Yeah we buey paisay to sing in public 😂

Heh. Many people made my day that day actually – like non stop. It was good(: But cos she being my bestie and all, hers is like the highest tier level though 🙊 She’s awesome!!

Oh and the full moon that night was lovely too.

And yeahhh I decided to still go for my night walk that night; albeit shorter than usual cos I was walking around in my birthday suit (literally)/make up on. Good to just take this solitary time to decompress, disconnect and reflect on the day itself also(:

Ending off my hatch day with this random lizard in the bathroom and getting some work done in the AM. Night owl life – hoot hoot hoot! 🦉

Sidenote and to recap, as I said at the start – this day marks as one of my BEST birthdays ever. I’ll probably say that every year though I think hahahaha 🙊 Most importantly, this is one of MY choosing and this is extremely significant to me.

Hehe, that aside – as of 28082018, I have turned a year older and wiser. It has been a 1 year journey tho, one that I chose to undertake in 2017. I wrote a personal letter to myself actually back then and I reflected on it that night.

Gave myself an internal nod of acknowledgement and pat on the back cos I’m doing what I said I will do and I truly believe that I am on that right path of growth and am still growing(:

Fingers crossed of cos that all the choices I’ve made so far have been the right ones as I continue down this path. But let’s just say if they were wrong or if I fail.. well you just take it in stride and move along(:

Then again, who knows what could happen in the future and 1 year down the road again on my next birthday? Heh .. now THAT is the beauty of life isn’t it?(:

Of cos, I’m hopeful that all will be good and as I always said, having HOPE is one of the strongest emotions to have and I believe in it(:

Most importantly, I realize how truly blessed I am. I’m really grateful, thankful and most importantly – happy where I am now.
