Mitsueki’s Blog – FAQS

I’ve compiled a list of FAQs below for your reference if you are interested to know more about myself and mitsueki’s Blog!

1. Mitsueki?

My real name is Daphne, while mitsueki is just my online moniker that I’ve been using for the past .. uh, at least 7 years of my life. And if you were wondering why this name?

Well, firstly, I was really into Japanese names back then, and I fancied the name – mitsuki which is a relatively popular Japanese character name. So I adopted the name – but I wanted it to be a little different, so I added an extra e. And Tadaaaa..!

So generally if you see this in a forum, or anywhere, 90% of the time – that’s me!(:

2. Facts About Mitsueki/Daphy

• I was born on 28 August. Age is just a number but I’m not going to tell you my age unless you ask. And I WILL ask you to guess because it entertains me. HAHAHA
• I’m a full time working adult with a 9-6pm job! I quit my first full time job and am on an self declared adult gap year since April 2018
• Oh and I’m from Singapore by the way(:
• Developed a travel lust since my Uni days and I adore traveling – read my travelogue! I try to aim for a travel trip at least 3 times a year minimally! In 2018, I set myself a travel resolution to TRAVEL or HAVE A STAYCATION every single month for this one year and I’m going to see if I can achieve it! Also in 2018, I went for my first solo travel trip!
• I used to see myself as plump, but thanks to my slimming sponsor (read my slimming journey), I’ve lost around 9kg!
• I have hereditary dark eye circles and I’m trying to accept that about myself. Still learning(:
• I used to be an avid gamer and have been gaming since Secondary School (2003 – 2012), namely Gunbound, Dota (LAN-IRC/Garena), Atlantica Online and Dota 2 (Steam). I never thought I would give it up..but then, I stopped gaming at the end of 2012 because I decided to focus on my blog and my life. Plus my gaming computer crashed (and I was too lazy to go fix it)  and my current Macbook isn’t made for gaming.

3. Why Start Blogging?

I started off this blog in November 2012 with the initial aim of using it as a marketing platform for my newly established accessories store – GlamPuss. But in the end, the blogging fever caught up with me and I’ve been actively blogging since then.

Plus, I’ve always loved writing since young and have had many blogs on an on and off basis ever since a couple of years ago when blogging got really popular back in my Secondary School days.  But I never really stayed with the blog as I wasn’t really committed.

It’s now different of course!

Plus, well, that’s no surprise as I’ve always loved sharing interesting reads, finds, eats as well as my thoughts on Facebook, so transcending from just simple Facebook status to blog post isn’t a problem for me!

As of August 2016, I’ve added in a few new contributors to mitsueki’s Blog! I hope you will enjoy their content as well on my blog!

4. My Blog Topics

I strive to blog daily about a huge variety of topics ranging from food reviews, travel/staycation experiences, product reviews (fashion/lifestyle/beauty) that I find interesting / useful, my thoughts, bucket list, my life and basically everything random and interesting that I want to share with everyone(:

As of 19 February 2018, I’ve been blogging about the daily chronicles of my life in a chronicle kind of series similar to a daily diary except that it’s online and totally public:
