Recently, I was at Hotel Re! to attend the media tasting of their newly launched weekend brunch menu – thanks Eunice for the lovely invite!
Hotel Re! Singapore
In case you were wondering, the hotel is situated at the base of Pearl’s Hill, along Chin Swee Road! Mm, it’s actually pretty easy to get to the Hotel Re! via car and public transportation! For my case, luckily the bf drives so it wasn’t an issue for us. Crystal on the other hand came via the Outram Park MRT and walked up the hill because she didn’t realize that there was a complimentary shuttle bus HAHAHA!

The Plus Twos
This time, I brought both the bf and Crystal as my plus twos for the event. Hehe, and I had the privilege this round to bring two because well.. hehe read on further!

Oh and random OOTD shot of the bf, all decked out in grey XD

The Presentation
A couple of random shots taken at one of the ballrooms at Hotel Re! while waiting for the presentation to start. Thanks for the lovely set up and door gift ^^~

Had a short presentation conducted by lovely Eunice where she shared more about Hotel Re in general (looks good for a staycation!), facts on Celebrity Executive Chef William Ang who created the weekend brunch menu and of course, the menu items themselves!

The Food
We were given the opportunity to try out all the 5 dishes but fortunately, individual sample size portions were served instead of the full dish! Lol, I highly doubt I would have been able to finish my food otherwise! XD
For your reference below, I’ve included photos of how the original dish looks like and our smaller sample size dishes and a quick review of each dish!(:
1. Jean’s Classic Breakfast
Endorsed by: Jean Gan from http://blog.myfatpocket.com/jeangan/
This classic breakfast features the full range of must-have English breakfast items like the golden hash browns, chicken sausage, baked beans, toasted chef’s choice bread and crispy turkey bacon. Sautéed portobello mushroom and cherry tomatoes at the side.

Sample Dish Taste Test
In general, guys tend to opt for the big breakfast rather than the girls and they like this dish better. The bf was no exception and it was one of his favourite dishes of the night. Personally, I also do like Hotel Re’s big breakfast as well, namely the sunny side ups, the oh so crispy hash brown and the sautéed mushrooms. Yum!
2. Eileen’s Salmon Bagel
Endorsed by: Eileen from http://providence1974.blogspot.sg/
Give in to your temptations and indulge in smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes, mesclun salad all perfectly encrust in a tasty toasted bagel with homemade zesty lemon cream spread.

Sample Dish Taste Test
I think the salmon bagel is one of my favourite dishes of the night mainly because I love all the ingredients on it! Just imagine yummy smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and mesclum salad on top of a nicely toasty bagel – delicious! Hehe everything went really well together with that lovely lemon cream spread!(:

3. Cherie’s Slipper Lobster Croissant
Endorsed by Cherie from http://cherietayy.blogspot.sg/
Nothing is short of premium when this delicious croissant is generously filled with a mix of grilled slipper lobster tossed with chopping celery, chive, tomato in Japanese dressing and tobiko. Accompanied by truffle fries, this is an irresistible and elevating dish!

Sample Dish Taste Test
This is a rather interesting dish but I thought it was not bad! The filling is pretty generous with plenty of chopped slipper lobster and crunchy bits from the celery, chive and tomato mix and it goes pretty well with the croissant. Really like the accompanying truffle fries though, hehe 😛
4. Daphne’s Egg-citing Benedict
Endorsed by yours truly: https://www.mitsueki.sg
This is no ordinary dish. After countless weeks of experimenting and perfecting his recipe, Chef William promise that you will be back for more of these poached eggs resting on toasted English muffin base, topped with a generous serving of turkey ham or smoked salmon, sautéed mushroom and grilled baby tomatoes and mesclun salad.

Sample Dish Taste Test
I love all types of eggs and eggs benedict is one of my sinful indulgence. I love poking my eggs so that it will flow beautifully out so I can enjoy the yoke together with my English muffin base! Oh and Hotel Re!’s version comes with a choice of turkey ham or smoked salmon so it’s your preference! For the sample dish, we tried it with the turkey ham and I liked it a lot! Think would be better with the smoked salmon though as I prefer that option 😛 Well, I can always go back there next time, hahaha! Oh ya, my eggs benny comes with a side of yummy mesclum salad that I paired with the rather addictive egg benny’s sauce. Muhahaha, it’s not bad – try it okay!

5. Shermaine’s BeRe!Licious Pancake
Endorsed by Shermaine from http://flashedlove.blogspot.sg/
Attention all berries lover! Do not miss this mixed berries compote drizzled with chocolate and strawberry sauce. Not in the mood for chocolates? No problem. Opt for butter and maple syrup for a healthier choice!

Sample Dish Taste Test
Was quite excited to end off the tasting with a sweet treat in the form of these pretty looking pancakes! There’s also an option of the butter and maple syrup as a healthier choice but hey, this is really the most Instagram friendly option 😛

Overall Verdict, My Thanks & Random Stuff!
There you have it, the 5 sample dishes that we tried! Don’t worry though, the normal dishes served to customers are wayyy larger than these and the portions are pretty big

Huge thanks to the bf & Crystal for joining me that day!

And lovely Eunice for the invite and everything else 😉

Keke, thanks also for the lovely gifts! Woot, Hotel Re! bathroom amenities, perfect to bring on my getaways!

And Hotel Re! Mooncakes too! Shared it with my colleagues, mom and the bf’s family and we loved it!
