If yesterday was a slow day at work, then today was a CRAZY PACKED one for Friday!
To plan out my day – it’s time to whip out my handy sticky note pad so that I can keep track and hopefully, get things cleared out as the day goes!

I’m glad and lucky that I have the luxury of working remotely from home now for this temporary gig so that I can spend time with my mom.

Unfortunately, the downside for this is the pay of course. But well, a girl has gotta start somewhere and this is my start I guess?
Lunch plus some jiggly bread and I was off to my office for a quick discussion. Oh and some good news is that they like my work and want to continue on for the next month so that’s one small stream of secured income coming in!

Obviously that isn’t enough to survive on, so my temporary goal for now is to build up multiple recurring streams coming in monthly and then hopefully, one day it will build up to at least my older pay and more so that I can put into my CPF and start building back that warchest!
Of cos, the other way is to get a proper full time 9-5 job with all the rings and bells plus benefits AND CPF, and then work on my other projects outside of the work hours like what I’ve done all these years! Heh, this one isn’t easy to find cos I’m so picky/selective tho 😂
Sigh. Then later that night, I committed my first major screw up at work. It’s really a small oversight but such small mistakes can really be costly/affect alot of people. I would know this as well because back in my old job, we had to be very careful over even the smallest mistakes as well. Double checks and triple checks to ensure its mistake free.

Nonetheless, no matter what – screw ups like these do happen sometimes and I feel really, really horrible especially when it’s my fault. If it’s due to external factors, then of cos it can’t be helped la. However, if this was a human error on your side then we need to rectify the situation.
I also know that there’s no point in throwing a pity party (though yes, I did). You just have suck it up, apologize and own the mistake, and more importantly – try to fix it to the best of your abilities.
Lesson learnt? Yeah..lessons were definitely learned from this and the time/energy wasted to rectify this whole issue over a small mistake is just not worth it!
Anw, with the pity party over, rectification in action and thankfully, nice clients, understanding bosses and a potentially disgruntled customer issue resolved – I popped by my usual gym at Fame.sg over at Mountbatten for a short workout at the end of the day!

This time however, I decided to try out a different machine instead of my usual exercise bike cos it started getting a little monotonous/repetitive and a little boring.

For now, I temporarily kinda like it so I’ll stick with this cross trainer machine for abit till something else catches my fancy. A small workout (for now) is better than none at all after all! :p
And to end off my very long day:
- Day 3 of my masking challenge with Dr Jou!

- Replying all my emails!

- Writing for SG Lifestyle – as usual!
- Discovering this new & awesome productivity app called Toggl!

It was a good day all in all 🙂
