Learning to Let Go

I spent hours editing and drafting up over 70+ IG throwback drafts and within a second – they were all gone. Just like how life can be. Trust me, I know that feeling so very well how life can change so drastically.

Regardless, this feels like a sign and a reminder to myself that I should no longer look back to the past anymore and focus on the present.

The present is where it counts; and CHANGE is the only constant. There is no point clinging on the past anymore; what I can do is to create new memories instead to replace the old ones and also learn to live for the moment. Of course, at the same time – take my past experiences into account and learn from the mistakes to improve and become a better person. That’s how you grow.

I am currently in the midst of doing quite a bit of self exploration, discovery and focusing on self love for quite awhile now and I love who I am becoming into. There so many exciting things ahead over the next few months and I can’t wait to share it!

Perhaps, this could also mean that I will not be focusing on writing up on all my old travelogues and focus on writing all the newest ones. This is especially so when most of the older ones are already out of date. I know this might disappoint some of my readers who have been waiting for those travelogues to be up. I really hate to disappoint you guys; but this is one way I’m trying to let go.

You know why?

Because everyday something new happens and I should focus on that instead. This is why I am penning it down on my blog for my reference and well – my biggest problem has always been the issue of not being able to LET GO. But I want to.

I’m holding on
Why is everything so heavy?
Holding on
So much more than I can carry
I keep dragging around what’s bringing me down
If I just let go, I’d be set free
Holding on
Why is everything so heavy?

I don’t want to hold on anymore – I want to learn to let go.

And I will.

Let’s restart on a clean slate.

Baby steps 🙂
