Online crimes are preventable crimes. Internet Love Scam, Paypal Email Scam, Multiple Payment Online Purchase Scam, Cyber Extortion—these are all crimes that Internet users can avoid falling victim to if they are aware of them.

The Internet Love Scam is one of the many online crimes which are on the rise. Between January and June 2014, Police have received 82 reports of Internet Love Scam cases with a total estimated amount of at least S$3.1M cheated!

People who usually get cheated, are those that are either desperate for love or greedy for more money. Those who are rational or vigilant will not fall victim to such age-old scams.
True la, but also there are also those who are truly innocent in all these scams (especially the older folks and the younger kids) so hopefully this initiative is a small step towards preventing online scams(:
