A Visit to Capitol Optical

Have you noticed my new look recently?
Haha, actually – not that much of a change I guess since I only changed my glasses! Hehe!

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, I dropped by Capitol Optical at Tampines Mall to pick out my spectacles frames to go along with my sponsored Essilor Crizal lens so.. here’s a short post to share my experience!(:

Oh and by the way, stayed tuned this week for my upcoming Essilor Crizal lens giveaway 😉

A Visit to Capitol Optical

Was super spoiled with like PLENTY of choices to choose from!

In the end, opted to get myself my first pair of branded spectacle lens from Ray-Ban.

Since I’ve been wearing my older glasses for quite awhile, I found that I’ve developed a penchant for tortoiseshell frames because pure black frames just makes me look very fierce – like a school teacher, lol. So as you can see below – was trying out loads of different varieties.

And here’s a random snapshot of myself with one of my selections. Hurhur, look at that untamed hair – my pre-CNY haircut, though it’s still as messy now. Heh.

Service at Capitol Optical was great and my sales assistant (I’m sorry I forgot your name T_T) was really nice and funny! So here I am, doing all the necessary checks and eye tests – photos are taken by the dutiful bf by the side.

I look ridiculous in this, but ah well. Took quite a number of tries and tests before we finally settled on the perfect lens for my poor eyes. And if you were wondering why I don’t wear contacts – uhm, I don’t like the feeling of it in my eye and it’s so difficult to remove it! Plus I’m quite scared of eye infections as my eyes are really prone to it ;/

And one last test before we were done! 😀 But here’s the sad thing – my vision deteriorated…*sobs* No surprise though as I read on my bed and use the lappy/computer like, the whole day.

Lol, but at least my vision isn’t as bad as the bf’s! His lenses are SUPER thick and he can’t even see a thing without his glasses – HAHA!

This is my final choice after like a 15 minute contemplation between all my choices. I didn’t want to take too long picking out as I will just hem and haw for like hours trying to choose between a few – so just grab and go!

The Ray-Ban frames cost me S$266 while the Essilor Crizal UV lens were complimentarythank goodness. Lol, but I later decided to claim optical aid under my company’s flexi benefits so this was free too. YAY-NESS! 😀

If you haven’t seen me in my new pair of glasses – you can refer to my latest posts, I’m sure I have a picture somewhere! Alternatively – stay tuned for my next post where I reveal my BEFORE / AFTER photos (the 2 glasses basically) and the Essilor Crizal UV lens GIVEAWAY!(:
