A TGIF Work Diary x Chicken Rice – 27 Sept 2019

First of all – YAY!!

Why ah? Other than the fact that it’s Friday – more importantly, I made it to my FIRST full week of a 9-6 (okay, 8.30am-6pm) work week after so long! 😂

Heh..if that isn’t cause for celebration/victory, then what is? Lol.

Here’s my TGIF ootd for the day!

Tbh, it brings me joy to dress up / experiment with new styles for work per se and my mind is just filled with thoughts of revamping and buying new clothes 😅 Lol guess that’s where all my money goes?

Okay, and sometimes it goes to food too. But not for this day! Teehee, just sharing the calories and the joy with my colleagues with these gifted paus from Tanjong Rhu Pau!

Oh and Fridays seem to be the busiest day of the week on a general note!

Still, I’m really grateful to have patient + nice + helpful colleagues around who will put up with my questions and the like even though they themselves are so busy.

JIAYOU ALL! It was a dabao eat-in day cos we were all rushing out work / having meetings and the like.

For this day, I tried out the chicken rice stall that my colleague recommended called Ding Fung Roasted Delights! He also said that the price is very affordable and I have to agree!

The set meal is the most value for money option in my option because you get.. a plate of chicken rice (roasted / steamed) AND your choice of a hearty boiled soup (no MSG).

In my case, I opted for the steamed chicken and pork ribs + lotus + peanut soup for $4.90 + $0.20 (takeaway) = $5.10!

It was well worth it and delicious! I’ll probably get the same thing next time, and add in $1 for the char siew to try.

The rest of the colleagues ordered from the zichar stall at the same kopitiam and they have nothing but praise for the food.. so that’s a good thing I guess? I’ll try it next time too (hopefully!).

27/9 Work Diary

Anyways, in terms of my work diary for the day.. basically I was working on helping to refine a mobile app storyboard for a video (copywriting) yesterday! Submitted my updates to the boss today, and hopefully..erms its what he wants? I’ve never done it before but giving it a shot!

Random note, now that I’ve doing ad adaptations and such, I will usually look at what other marketers are doing for similar events as a point note of reference – do you do that too?

Example:

Hahaa I think it’s because I’m personally not a creative person per se (aka I CANNOT come up with ideas), so I really need to refer to others for inspiration.

Yayy meanwhile, new stuff learnt today is to craft eDMs on Salesforce and on AI (Adobe Illustrator). Note that these are really basic ones of like drag and drop cos we already have all the designed images etc!

Still, this is pretty cool cos I’ve never done it, much less apply it in a real life scenario?! And YAYYYY getting AI installed in for free where I can try out stuff to experiment? COOOLLLL~

P.s spied over at my colleague’s brekkie and she had her own DIY acai bowl!! Gonna try to figure out how to DIY my own for cheap somehow, without the use of a blender! Acai bowls are expensive (usually in the range of $6-9 per bowl?, tho I’ve spotted the cheapest ones at $4.90!) >_<

Later she revealed her cold brew (she made it herself using a coffee machine she has at home WHATT!!!). 😱🙀🤯 #imshook

Lol, and if you’re wondering about my #after6 life for this Friday?

Just three things lor.

This gu lo rou salad dinner.

Starting my walkathon training.

Apples to end off the night – just because! 🍎

And that’s all for this lovely, lovely Friday! Looking forward to my weekend and catching up the much needed ZZZs back!

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post to read more about #weekendswithmitsueki!

Lastly, thanks always for reading! 😁
