To sum it up, meet Daphne – the suaku/blur queen (who is obviously very bad at Math) who makes her first appearance on a Youtube video in a very special Shopback collaboration recently!
I think once the video is out..I might see people wanting to kill me cos I was laughably bad / bimbotic 😂😂🤦🤦 But hopefully, there was some entertainment value in it so maybe people might find it funny? I have no idea how people would respond though. I’m kinda scared. Bloody petrified actually. Lol….
But 重点, it was my first time making any sort of appearance in a YouTube video not of my own! Lol.. it’s just ironic that my first time had to be on a popular YouTube channel heh..scary. 😅😅
To be honest, I went there not knowing what to do that day and if you read my post yesterday, I was up all night trying out some Wonderlic tests in an attempt to prep for it.
So there I was that afternoon! Took a full day off from my freelance gig work to do this but I was busy helping out with the team before trying to get things done + preps!
Their office was really cool, especially the action figures with amazing detailing and I was busy admiring them while I waited for the rest (Jay, Cindy and Cheryl) to arrive!
Was my first time meeting Jay in real life from our interactions in the Facebook community group and he was nice and so chill! The guy you see on the video and his real life character = totally the same!! Heh, very cool!
Meanwhile, for myself – I was so nervous cos I’ve never done anything like that!

Note that in this video, there are NO NGs, NO RETAKES so this is all that you get because it’s like a reality life game show. A one time shot with 4-5 cameras facing you! So scary! I had no idea which one to look?! I think I was like super panicky at the start but I think I finally relaxed more into my role at the end when you kinda get what you need to do (if you know what I mean?)
Nonetheless, gotta thank the Shopback team as well for this opportunity as it was an eye opening learning experience! Thank you all! 🙏🙏
Heh, and it got me a little inspired to want to work on videos just for fun as well! Have always wanted to do so and have a number of ideas, just that videos = take more time to film + edit etc! Mainly it’s the editing more than anything la.
I also want to be better than what I was in this video. To be honest, my performance was very abysmal and disappointing to me and I would really like to improve! 💪
Nonetheless, it’s done and dusted and I hitched a ride back to the Shopback office with the team after that!
Kekekekeke and I took a photo with the current promotion for the 6.18 Shopback sale! Imagine being able to MEGASIZE your cash back like what Jay did!
Note: I was not aware of any of the promotional mechanics before the video. Really went in 100% blind and unprepared, but now I know liao!
Spent the time chilling and snacking with Cheryl and Cindy at the pantry of the Shopback office – that was fun! Heh.

And told ya I was inspired to do a video right? So that night I went home and got inspiration from these chips. Thinking of doing a video review but let’s see how that goes :p
Ended off this very long day with 3 things!

Went back to clear up my work! The team were putting out fires while I was away, and it’s my turn to help out now when I can too!(:
And that’s all for the day! Surprisingly I was really exhausted at 1am, not sure why..and crashed right after that (about 2?)?
It’s just really great that there’s a public holiday tomorrow! Nice to have a break in between~ 😊😊
