So it’s the day of my flight and I was feeling real chill about the whole thing. A little too chill in fact hahaha.

My mom cooked lunch for me so yay for homecooked food! She did go overboard as always knowing that I wouldn’t be eating her food for the next week or so hence this was her way of expressing her love for me. Of cos it’s way too much as always for one so as always, I saved one portion for lunch and one for my dinner later.

Shes always been keeping all my old assignments and notes from my uni days and recycling them to use as scrap paper while I’m the annoying one who picks them up to keep cos I feel super sentimental about my past works (not all la). Here’s one of them – my analysis of The Leap Year for my literature classes back then. I wrote them on a whim and for my assignment but it’s just funny how it bodes true now that I look back and reflect on them. Ah, life. Looking at them at little reminders!

Anyway enough with the nostalgia and random sentiment – I spent the rest of day packing once again for my trip. It takes me at least 2-3 days to pack for a long trip generally. First to shortlist my clothes and the second is the more serious packing where I sort out everything, pack them into my packing cubes and ensure the things on my packing list are checked off.

Unfortunately there was one thing missing from my packing list this round = a pair of gloves. Sadly I didn’t have time to pick up a new one so hopefully I wouldn’t need it for my trip. In the worst case scenario I guess I can always pick one up in Melbourne (hopefully a cheap one 😂).

Then it was dinner and then a random rush to charge all my electronic devices! Wasn’t intending to bring my laptop at all with this being a leisure trip and such but unfortunately I had some pending work to be done so that had to be brought along.

Besides, Leona sent me pics of the study desk in my bedroom and it looked mighty fine to be used so I was quite excited to use it. Lol what, a true workaholic I guess 😂

Other pre-trip preparations include setting up my budget calculator app and topping up my Starhub Happy Roam! Fingers crossed that the latter will work fine! Previously I had some issues when I was in Japan with it but luckily it was resolved halfway. The data usage is also pretty fast but this round I topped up $20 for the 3.6GB (30 days) which ought to be able to last me for the 8 days that I’m there. Definitely cheaper than getting the Optus card or other cards!

And then I was all packed and off in a Grab! In case you were wondering, my mom saw me off from home(:

For the first time ever though, I took a flight alone from Changi Airport and without anyone sending me off either. Woah hahahaha, double first times check listed!

It was sweet tho when someone offered but too bad I saw the message too late hahahaha. Oh wells 🙊

There you have it – lil ol’ makeup less me (but got filter, duh) waiting to board my flight. Tbh it’s not that a big deal la hahahaha(:
