Fun Walk @ ComChest Heartstrings Walk 2017 + Goodie Bag Reveal!

Attended my first ever mass 4KM walk for charity recently with Crystal at the ComChest Heartstrings Walk held on 9 September 2017! For your reference, participation fees are only $10 per person and comes with a free goodie bag, while stocks last!

ComChest Heartstrings Walk 2017!

The flagoff timing was at 8.15am and this meant that we had to meet up early! Wasn’t the easiest task getting up so early in the morning (6.30am) but we both did it! 😊😊

This year’s ComChest Heartstrings Walk for charity was held at Marina Bay Sands and I just followed the crowd from the MRT to the event square as I wasn’t too sure where it was!

And within MBS itself, I was busy applying sunscreen liberally all over my face and body HAHAHHAHA!

The event square was so crowded~

Hahaha and the goodie bag redemption counter was empty as they would only be giving them out from 830am (the fun walk starts ar 815am!)

Selfie with Crystal while waiting for the flag off. Ah~ my dark eye circles – thank goodness for my phone’s nice filters 😂 #nomakeup

Promptly at 815am, the flag off for the 4K walk had begun! Let’s walk for charity and clock steps for our Steptember challenge! 😁

So many organisations, families and friends were part of this walk. How heartwarming!

Tan Chuan-Jin and others who flagged off the race!

Took this opportunity to walk and admire the scenery around me. I was really happy that the weather was very kind to us too – cloudy and not scorching hot!

Beautiful lotus pond!

First time crossing the helix bridge!

Lovely view of Marina Bay Sands!

Walked past the Merlion and snapped a photo like a tourist hahaha.

And we were done with our 4K walk within less than 40 minutes!

Time to grab some water to beat the beat and thirst!

And of course, collect our goodie bags! 😊

In case you were wondering about the contents of this year’s ComChest Heartstrings Walk 2017 goodie bag – here you go:

Headed over to Rasapura, MBS food court for brekkie. Prices were insane so we settled with just a sandwich (under $6)

My ham & cheese roll which fuelled me up after the walk!

On the whole, it was a good experience to participate in this walk and I’m really glad to give my time and fork out some cash for a good cause! Most likely I might join next year’s ComChest Heartstrings Walk in 2018 then! 😊
