Contiki – The Brand

Contiki is a familiar name to me as I worked in a travel agency previously and Contiki/Trafalgar/Insight Vacation tours were one of our specialty tours that we offered! Was pleased to get the opportunity to learn more the company in depth during the brief introduction session!(:

What Contiki offers on their tours will be a travel experience targeted at travelers between the age of 18-35! One such travel experience is a cooking class in the country that you are visiting  – for example in Italy, you might get the chance to attend an Italian cooking class to learn how to cook their local food!

Cooking Experience on a Contiki Tour

Our experience at CulinaryOn will mirror a culinary journey that you might undertake on a Contiki tour! In this case, we were going to learn how to prepare a Mediterranean 3 course meal!

I took loads of photos (more than what’s posted actually!) below, focusing mainly on the bf as this is the only time you’ll see him in the kitchen anyway hahaha!

Course #1: Nicoise Salad with Tuna

Started off our 3 course Mediterranean meal with a Nicoise Salad with tuna. Everyone has a part to play in prepping the salad!

And yes, everyone gets to eat too!(:

Course #2: Spinach Ricotta Ravioli

We also prepared our own handmade spinach ricotta ravioli from scratch as our mains!

And then dinner!

Course #3: Mixed Berry Tart

And finally for dessert, we had the mixed berry tart! So much prep and work goes into the tarts!

Oh doesn’t it look good?!

One Day – A Contiki Tour?

Wow, imagine taking part in this experience while you are on a Contiki tour overseas – that would be so much fun! I flipped through some of their itineraries and they really look pretty fun; perhaps one day I shall try it for myself? 😶😶
