Order your Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake from JB with LaborMe + PROMO CODE!

If you followed me on IG (@mitsueki), you would have noticed that I recently ordered a few boxes worth of Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake and Uncle Tetsu Cheese Zuccotto (Hat Series) that was delivered to my office during lunch time!

Order your Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake from JB!

If you didn’t know, the nearest outlet that you can purchase their famous Japanese bouncy cheesecake is just slightly beyond our borders at Mount Austin in Johor Bahru, Malaysia!
So how did I order it from Malaysia and get it delivered to my office warm and fresh in Singapore? Read on to find out!

I used LaborMe, an app (iOS/Android) where you can pay to get people to queue and deliver your food to your doorstep! Yes..just pay a $X desired amount for people to queue for you at BAKE Cheese Tart at ION, Tai Cheong EGG Tarts at Taka, food from the Michelin star coffeeshop etc.

Best of all, here’s a PROMO code to use to get $10 off => DAPHNE10 (1st time users only, valid till 31 Dec 16)!

Very useful when you don’t want to waste the time to queue – plus it’s delivered to you where ever you are located, at home or in the office? So convenient!

How to Order from LaborMe?

Here are the steps to order! It’s very easy actually(:

Create A Task < Food Delivery  < Search Uncle Tetsu < Choose your food items  < Key in your address etc < Set delivery time  < Key in promo code of DAPHNE10 for $10 off the delivery < Put an offer price for delivery < Wait for bids and accept/reject accordingly!

The only downside of the app to me is not knowing how much to bid. I guess a reasonable amount between $5- $15 depending on the queue/location/amount ordered should suffice? I’ve used the app twice to order my Swiss rolls from Rich & Good Cake Shop and now, Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake and the taskers accepted my bids of around $12 for each delivery. I was sharing it with 5-6 of my colleagues so technically we paid only $2 extra for the delivery!

Here’s the happy me with our Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake delivery! Oh and the cakes were still slightly warm!!

The courier person also helped to take more bags and plenty of knives for the cake(:

Anyway, are you obsessed over those bouncy Japanese cheesecakes you see on Facebook everywhere recently? If so, this is the real deal!

Just look at how soft and fluffy the Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake is! The taste of the cheesecake is very light and airy – tastes slightly like a soufflé. Recommended to warm it up in the microwave if you want a version like it was just out of the oven!

A few of us also ordered the Uncle Tetsu Cheese Zuccotto (Hat Series) and we opted for the Devil flavor (Chocolate!). The packaging isn’t too good and the cake is so soft so the exterior of the poor cake was slightly ruined but the most important point is the taste! Not bad but I definitely prefer the original Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake!

Not too bad. Would definitely reorder it again next time!

Anyway, I think the LaborMe app is a very useful tool and I personally recommend you to give it a go! I already know what I’m ordering next – Tai Cheong Egg Tarts!!

Don’t forget to use my promo code “DAPHNE10” for $10 off your delivery for first time users!

Note: A 1-time only delivery was sponsored by the LaborMe app and I paid for all the orders at my own expense. The Swiss Roll order + delivery mentioned was prior to this collaboration and was also at my own expense.
