Maki-San EPIC EATER MAKI ROLL!
Maki-San has created the EPIC EATER MAKI ROLL for the Cathay Mall’s Epic Eater Competition 2016 which I managed to try prior to the Epic Eater contest. And yes, this is what you, as the contestant will be chowing down during the competition!
To facilitate eating, here are the ingredients in the Epic Eater Maki Roll: Nori (seaweed) wrap, Japanese white rice, shredded cucumber, kani stick, tamagoyaki and teriyaki sauce!
Believe it or not, a professional competitive eater can chow down this maki within 30 seconds!
Mini Office Epic Eater Competition!
I hosted a mini epic eater competition in the office to gauge how fast average people would be able to chow down on each maki roll! The competition was quite intense with different timings — but ultimately, here are their eating speeds!
PINKY – 16 Seconds **WINNER!!**
CS – 36 seconds
Claire – 18 seconds **SO CLOSE**
WZ – 17 seconds **SO DAMN CLOSE**
Vi – 53 seconds!
Jaeq – 22 seconds!
Mine – 27 seconds!
Yes, surprisingly the girls did very well here LOL! And yeah, this was just to chow down on a single piece of maki, to swallow everything cleanly!
Other Makis
Also had the chance to try one of Maki-San House Menu Rolls (Very Veggie) made with brown rice for lunch. Pretty good, but luckily this is not part of the competition maki sushi as it was harder to chew and is super ultra filling!
