I woke up to shocking news – Christina Grimmie was fatally shot and has died.
A publicist for Grimmie, Heather Walsh, said in an email early on Saturday that “we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord”.
Christina Grimmie aka zeldaxlove64 was the first Youtube star that I subscribed around 5 to 6 years ago as I was blown away by her powerful vocals and voice. I watched as she quickly became a Youtube star to performing for Selena Gomez and participating in The Voice within those years.
10 hours ago, she posted on Snapchat and Twitter how excited she was to perform for her fans at a concert venue in Orlando.

Police said that the 22-year-old singer had performed with the band Before You Exit at The Plaza Live in Orlando. The concert ended around 10pm, and Grimmie was shot as she signed autographs for fans at a merchandise table.
Grimmie’s brother immediately tackled the gunman, who then shot and killed himself during the struggle, police said.
Her last performance and photo before her death at the young age of 22. Her vocals never cease to amaze me and I’m so sad that this will be the last time anyone can hear her sing live.
Her death was so sudden and uncalled for. She was a rising star, living happy and fulfilling her dreams. Can you imagine how her brother and fans must have felt seeing her being fatally shot in front of them? Hope they will stay strong.
