Woke up this morning to both sunshine and dark skies. Was wondering why till I remembered that a global solar eclipse would be happening this morning. Oh, but only a partial global eclipse will occur in Singapore.
This particular solar eclipse happening is a pretty big thing in Singapore because for once, you can actually view the eclipse happening! Plus it lasted from sunrise till 9.30am (the peak was at 8.20amish!).
Of course, I hope you didn’t look directly into the eclipse because it will harm your eyes (I looked for awhile :'(:'(). Apparently, it’s literally like looking at the sun even though it has been partially blocked by the moon.

Tried to snap a photo without looking at the sun. Oh then it was only later I realized that you can’t use a normal camera to take a photo as it will spoil the camera lens. 😱😱:o:o #toolateforthat Luckily maybe I took it through the window pane so my camera was still okay though 😥😥
For those who missed out, I did snap some other pictures to show what I mean by having both sunshine and darkness at the same time.
Or you can always check out this link here to see it being explained in graphic form: http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/singapore/singapore
The sun was somewhat shining into my room but if you look beyond that to the other side of my home, it’s in total darkness!
Bright in my room (pardon the mess).
Dark at my mom’s room which is facing the other side.
You really have got to be there yourself to really see the difference. But it was pretty cool all the same.
Guess this is the only thing good about having to wake up for work this morning. LOL!
P.s here’s sharing more professional photos of the global eclipse that happened around the world!

Have a great Wednesday ahead! (:
