Man stabs girlfriend with scissors

This time, no gang members were involved. There were also no parangs involved and no staring incident. But the violence was no less senseless. An apparent lover’s tiff degenerated into a shouting match and involved a pair of bloodied scissors.

It happened at a common area next to Block 142, Pasir Ris Street 11, on Saturday night. At the scene, a young man in his 20s was found staring at his girlfriend, who is in her 20s and was bleeding from a stab wound.

Residents said they were unclear what the couple had fought about. One onlooker said the man did not run away and was detained by the police later.
