Was so blessed when the wifey and her hubs popped by our place last night to pass us these peanuts and kaya puffs from Ipoh when they came back. They wanted to gift it to us fresh, they said and that was so sweet 🙂
That became brekkie for me, alongside my hub’s favourite bread, broccoli and eggs salad with fruits..to try to reduce the calories cos we would be feasting tonight.

Today also marks our official 2nd wedding anniversary and the hubs brought me out for dinner at 665 Fahrenheit located at Andaz Hotel. Its a relatively small restaurant, note not so suitable if you’re looking for an intimate atmosphere as some of the tables especially at the window seat was packed a little too close for comfort for me. The wait staff also took awhile to notice us and we had to stand up and call them directly initially.
One cool thing is that you do get to see your food prepared at the open kitchen though. Prices are also relatively fair with a decent promotion on Tues if you’re feeling fancy for a date night out!

We took 1x $88 set and topped up for the lobster bisque, alongside a few ala carte mains/sides. The set comes with a complimentary sourdough starter and seasonal dip before being served with our lobster bisque (pretty good) and the crab cake.
Our mains arrived later on, mostly at a go – the flat iron steak (200g), marble score 5+ (pure black crossbred F1 Wagyu beef from Southern Australia) as our main steak, toothfish as our second main accompanied by asparagus (greens) and double whammy potatoes (triple cooked fries with truffle & beef fat roasted yukon potatoes).
The mains were not bad and the triple cooked fries rather addictive. Note that the portions are decent sized, but not very American sized. We were able to finish almost everything except for 4 fries hahaha which is not bad considering we had double potatoes!
The set also came with a dessert and we chose the calamansi pie as we were (slightly) expecting a chocolate dessert since he indicated we were celebrating our anniversary haha. Generally, most restaurants would accommodate and they did so here too, with this raspberry chocolate cake.

To round off the meal, we also had coffee or tea and the hubs had the mint tea for digestion.
Price point came to around $226 for 2 pax for the meal. Acceptable for this experience and meal – what do you think? :p
My biggest takeaway here is when we could sit, have conversations (lol gossipy ones hahaah!) and put work out of the picture for our date night. I also gifted him a little figure bobblehead just for kicks, a physical one on top of our flight tickets to our next upcoming trip in Nov!
His gift? Our next trip to Bangkok and this dinner and this is good enough! Travel fuels (us), or at least me so I’m super excited for our trip! The countdown begins~
