My hubs is gonna be flying off tml for a 2 weeks work trip..so here we were, bringing our parents out for a meal at Le Cheng Kampong Hainanese Chicken Rice just because haha. He would be back just 1 day before they fly back so this would be a rare day that we get to eat together as a family then. Of course, I had to bring my mom along too 😉

This isn’t our first visit here! We actually ate it twice at 2 separate media tasting occasions and I thought their chicken rice was not bad. We were also recently inspired by Alderic’s epic chicken rice quest and it reminded me how good this was, albeit a little oily.

And we feasted, ordering a whole chicken with rice, tofu and omelette.

The price point was okay too, about $85 for 5 pax. We went home later and the hubs started packing his luggage 🙁 Meanwhile, the MIL cooked this nourishing birds nest for us!

Just before the hubs left, I wanted to spend some time with him on an evening date and spontaneously booked this cute puppy pilates class off an ad from Instagram. Bonus points – it was a golden retriever edition and that breed is the hub’s favourite dog breed! Since I’ve never really interacted with golden retrievers too..it was prefect!

Well, perfectly chaotic indeed cos these whirlwind balls of fur gave you NO rest at all. 90% chaos, 10% pilates. We tried, we really did but these pups gave you no quarter at all!

It was really fun, a little expensive at $50 per pax but worth it for the experience and time to spend with the hubs 🙂

Things / experience to splurge on with adult money indeed heh.

To cap it all off, slamming down a McDonald’s meal because..well, just because heh.
