We started our morning right with a buffet breakfast at Grand Cafe again – this time, a fuller spread and enjoying our time since we had abit of time to kill before our appointment later at 1130am.

We also took this time to explore the hotel’s surroundings including the laundromat, chapel, swimming pool, Namco arcade and even a flight simulator ride. This hotel sure has loads of facilities and amenities that you can consider enjoying if you are staying here for more than a day.

We had to attend a compulsory 90 mins presentation at Marriott Vacation Club, which is how we managed to get this stay in the first place. Luckily, the sales rep already knew we weren’t gonna sign up for anything so we chatted on other stuff instead including her travels and experiences. She was young but such a well travelled individual who has been living in various countries before Japan. We also learnt that Japanese people love Hawaii and its only 7 hours away from Tokyo?! Perhaps a consideration for the future – a Tokyo-Hawaii trip, mm.
Next up, off to Chiba Station we go to sit onboard the world’s longest suspended monorail train.

It was pretty cool to see it and sit onboard but I wouldn’t specifically say you NEED to do it unless you have no other plans around Tokyo.
We had an early dinner later at Kanazawa Maimon Sushi Aeon Mall Makuhari New City 金沢まいもん寿司 イオンモール幕張新都心店 – a slightly premium priced sushi “conveyor belt” restaurant offering various cuts/options not commonly found. Of course, you have the usual salmon and all that but we also ordered and tried quite a few unique options including seabream, firefly squid..

..and many more!
The sushi ordering works via the QR code system and the chefs immediately prep the sushi to be served to you from the counter upon ordering. It wasn’t cheap, however with the total bill hitting $90 for 2 pax for 15 dishes. It would be cheaper if you go to Sushiro etc but we wanted to try something new anyways, so why not!

We spent the rest of the time at AEON MALL Makuhari New City イオンモール幕張新都心, Japan’s second largest mall and I would say it really is a HUGE mall consisting of 4 inter connected malls and even a Costco next door!
Walking from one end to the other easily takes 20 mins and we didn’t manage to explore them all before 9pm came around.
We did explore at least 1 mall, went shopping at the supermarket, played games, looked at a variety of anime related stores and more. It’s worth a visit here if you are staying at the Maihama area as this is around 20 mins away by train on the Keiyo line!

Ikspiari イクスピアリwas our last stop and this is the mall available at the Maihama Station area. Most people generally visit it after Disneyland/Disneysea as you can grab a bite from the restaurants here which open later than usual. The last order is at 930pm for more shops, so just take note!
There’s also a supermarket which opens till late at 1030pm if you want to grab any drinks, chips or microwaved food etc before going back to your respective Disney hotel, or to the city area.

I bought a couple of things and the hubs had instant noodles with chips for supper as we packed up for the night. It’s so sad when the travel trip comes to an end..at least I’m glad we had such a fun trip so far.
Just 1 more sleep tonight and we’ll be onboard the plane tml night.
Oh and our hotel also sent us a complimentary snack box full of sweet treats to make up for the inconvenience of shifting rooms / the curtains..so that was a nice touch.
And yep, that’s it for today. Trying to not think about work and the piling things waiting for me once I get back.
Let’s enjoy tonight and tml to the fullest while we can!
