I’m back on a half day mc today cos of my follow up eczema appointment! Unfortunately that came with another hefty $300 bill..oof, I’m gonna try my best to recover asap cos this is really expensive! $300 x 3 in a span of 1 month is no joke 🙁
Anyways, I decided to try my luck getting my hands on the peanut butter waffles from Garden Pastry and gosh, it was a 40 mins wait even on a weekday. I debated for quite awhile but decided to just wait it out while picking up my groceries for tonight’s cooking.

Was it worth the wait? Mm..it was nice la but not worth waiting 40-45 mind for.
Tip: call ahead and make a reservation, at least you don’t have to wait on the spot.
And now – dinner preps for 2.
I tried the viral no water chicken recipe using fresh chicken, napa cabbage, apple, onions, carrots and a dash of my mushroom liquid (was so worried it would burn if I didn’t) and cooked it all in the same pot for 1 hour.

Oh yes you can top it off with ginger pieces, red dates and goji berries too.
Just have some expectations on the amount of “soup” released, it wasn’t alot! The napa cabbage cooked down quite abit too so it wasn’t as much as you would expect.
I also cooked some rice and this was sufficient for 3 meals as seen – tonight for 2 and 1 more set for another meal the next day.
All in all, a simple but nourishing homecooked meal to end off this Thursday for both of us.
Friday awaits!
