Happy 56th dating monthsary to us!
I surprised the hubs for a “secret/hidden” dinner spot for our dating monthsary on this day after work, heading to Sentosa Island via the monorail.
To get there, we dropped off at Imbiah Station before following the directional signage to Amara Sanctuary Sentosa.
Alternatively, you can also hop onto the free shuttle buses from HarbourFront MRT Exit D to the resort directly.
Once you reach Amara Sanctuary Sentosa, head in towards the villa rooms and follow up the signs and you’ll find yourself at the newest outlet of MinSuiZen Raku 明水然・楽!

MinSuiZen Raku 明水然・楽 is the world’s largest direct operated Omakase Japanese Teppanyaki cuisine brand. This is their 2nd outlet in Singapore where you can find a resort‑style omakase teppanyaki escape located at Amara Sanctuary Sentosa.
Advanced reservations are required for the 12.30pm / 5.15pm / 7.40pm seatings everyday. It was full house last night when we visited and I highly recommend you make your bookings HERE.
Choose between 12-14 omakase courses at different price points starting from $88 for the All Day Course, or $148 Elegant Course and the price ranges up to $198 for the Premium Course and $258 for the Royal Course (14 dishes).
Everything is freshly prepared in front of your eyes by the dedicated chef and the dishes will change periodically so you never know what you will get when you visit!

All diners at MinSuiZen Raku 明水然・楽 Sentosa had a bird’s eye view of our dedicated teppanyaki chef and the grill in front of us. You’ll be constantly entertained by the little theatrical actions and performances in between the courses with mini interactions from the chef.
Note: all diners are to be seated early/on time as they will start only once everyone is here. There is also 1 chef for a max of up to 12 diners every seating, alongside 2-3 dedicated servers.
Now onwards to the food!
We had the $88 All Day Set Menu and the $148 Elegant Course and both 12 courses over a span of almost 2.5 hours so please make sure you cater time for dining.
Personally, I would recommend going for the $148 Elegant course as this is the whole package with an option of the A5 Japanese Wagyu beef, which is to die for! If you would like to splurge a little more – the $198 course gets you a live lobster option on top of the Wagyu.
Here’s a quick look at the variety of courses throughout the night starting off with two types of appetisers before moving into the seafood options.

All their plating and dishes used were gorgeous and definitely hand picked for this omakase teppanyaki experience.
The seaweed chanwanmushi was one of my favourites and we were also given this redreshing yogurt yuzu palate cleanser while a series of mini “main course” dishes were grilled over the teppanyaki grill.
From our favourite prawn dish (crispy fried prawn shells with a large super fresh prawn, to a mini chicken slider) and then, the proper “main meal” or highlight of this teppanyaki omakase meal.

The main protein is definitely what sets the difference price points and courses apart.
If you go for the Lite option, you’ll get this beautifully grilled boneless chicken thigh served with a mini sweet potato and zucchini. Else, you’ll get this beautifully seared Kagoshima Japanesw A5 fillet steak that just melts in your mouth. To me, this was one of the highlights of the dinner and I just wished I could enjoy even more bites. I definitely savoured every bite – my tastebuds were happy.

You’ll start feeling full around this mark, but not to worry – a few more courses await, including a vegetable dish and then their delicious garlic egg fried rice with a special love message to surprise the guests!
Desserts were also cute, playful and this was a perfect way to end the night. For our dinner, we had 2 different desserts – a matcha ice cream and a red bean mochi sprayed with matcha/gold dust to finish it off.
(Bonus) For diners celebrating their birthdays here at MinSuiZen Raku Sentosa 明水然・楽 – you’ll get a complimentary surprise of a mini cake slice and a singing birthday bear (haha but you can’t take it home :p)
This would be such a sweet surprise making it the perfect way to round off a meal here for any special celebrations/occasions.

I also documented our visit to MinSuiZen Raku 明水然・楽 at Amara Sanctuary Sentosa in my most recent social posts here – watch it if you haven’t 🙂
