#OfficeDiaries: Mid Week x Trying SG’s 1st Thai Woodfire Restaurant Concept – 5 June 2024

#OfficeDiaries Mid Week x Trying SG's 1st Thai Woodfire Restaurant Concept - 5 June 2024

Wednesday is always my fave time of the week cos you know hitting mid week ~ means you’re just a few days closer to that wonderful weekend ahead!

Today’s dinner date was at Fi Woodfire Thai Robertson, Singapore’s 1st Thai woodfire restaurant! Was really looking forward to trying out their food creations using their 450 degrees double insulated wood fire oven!

Here’s what we tried:

Charred Corn Som Tum $14

Now this was spicy as hell but so satisfying to eat. The sweet Charred Corn pairs perfectly with the medley of ingredients in this salad. Comfortably feeds 3-4 pax as the portion is huge!

Basil Minced Pork On Charred Eggplant $18

Eggplant lovers will love this and the Basil Minced Pork goes really well with everything! This is one of my favourites, would totally come back to eat it with plain rice! It wasn’t spicy for me BTW!

“Moo Ping” Smoked Pork Ribs $42

Their crown jewel has to be their Smoked Pork Ribs! You’re getting 500g worth of bone in grilled Pork Ribs that falls off the bone with a nice smoky flavour. Delicious! It was the mister and my favourite dish of the night! Must order!

French Poulet $28

Don’t take pork? Try their charcoal grilled half French poulet with a unique chicken liver Jaew sauce! Tender juicy chicken that is good for 1, or for sharing in a group!

Seafood Pad Thai $18

Expect a generous amount of ingredients in this pad Thai that will please any seafood lovers topped with a sunny side up. Their version is a little more ‘wet’ with more sauce if that’s your preference.

Fresh Thai Coconut/Thai Ice Lemon Tea $8 each & Lemongrass Jelly $12

Be sure to order some Thai Drinks to go along with your meal, before rounding it off with a refreshing dessert. It was a light and delicious way to end off this meal.

Overall, this is a great place to bring your date or friends / colleagues out for dinner at the Robertson Walk area! The plates and dishes are good for sharing and the food is delicious too; albeit a lil spicy for those who have low spice tolerance levels.

Would recommend and come back again if I’m around the vicinity!

Thanks for having us 🙂
