#WeekendsWithMitsueki: Hotel Buffet Breakfast x Sagwadang Bakery Apple Pies x Dinner, Work and Netflix’s 3 Body Problem – 24 March 2024

Our staycay at Village Hotel Bugis continues with a free brekkie inclusive at The Landmark, their in house restaurant. The best thing about it will be the breakfast dining hours till 10.30am, which is great when you plan to sleep in on a Sunday morning.

Read about Day 1 of our staycay here:

The buffet spread was pretty decent with quite a variety of food offerings to choose from. We came a little late so a few items were not replenished, however it was definitely sufficient for us as seen pictured below! 🙂

With our tummies full, we headed back to our room to chillax and nap making full use of that late check out time of 2pm before packing up to head back home.

But first, a quick detour to visit the Sagwadang pop up store at Bugis Junction. This is a popular Korean bakery that sells apple pies that is only here in Singapore for a limited only. With their apple pies starting from $4.90 ~ $5.40, this is definitely a treat to enjoy only once in awhile as it’s quite expensive.

We bought 3 flavours to try – the original at $4.90, vanilla apple pie at $5.40 and their milk cream apple pie at $5.40. Note that these small morsels can be completed in 3-4 bites and we shared the vanilla apple pie on the spot. It was good, just a tad expensive for the price, I enjoyed it nonetheless.

We then headed to Ji Xiang next to buy my favourite peanut AKK for myself, my mom and him! This is really our favourite AKK spot because the peanut filling is great and the skin is thin.

Off to my place we go to drop off dinner for my mom, before picking up OUR dinner at Donki (what a spread!!) of sushi, bento rice set and yakitori sticks as well as Mr Coconut’s new tea series.

To end off the night – more work, my own personal stuff, fruits and watching Netflix’s new 3 Body Problem with the mister.

Back to an OT, but short week after. Jiayou!!
