#WeekendsWithMitsueki Wedding Errands x Movie Date x Trying BBQ Box and Bakery 1964 - 25 Feb 2024

Happy Sunday everyone! Today we have a full day of errands to run starting off with dropping by the temple to get our long awaited auspicious hours and dates for our upcoming wedding (guodali, an zhuang and gatecrash) so that we can start planning our actual day schedule and engage our JP soon!

We also visited our hotel for our final banquet payment and took this opportunity to view the bridal suite in advance and recce the ballroom once again in preparation for the planning process. Loads to do and hopefully we are all on track!

The Madame Web movie date came after that and honestly..it was kinda of a let down. No surprise why the critics rated it so harshly!

Dinner awaited at BBQ Box where the mister and I finally ticked it off our to try list. We started off with drinks, which is a great respite from all the heaty stuff we were about to consume next and happily ordered away!

Yeah we ordered literally all the different types of meats available from pork chicken to mutton, skewered vegetables, potatoes, squid, mushrooms, sausages and their popular toasted bread. I highly recommend getting their grilled pineapples that were absolutely juicy and super sweet with a caramelised glaze on top. This is my favourite of the lot!

This entire meal isn’t cheap however. Just by ordering all these, we racked up a bill of over $70+ after adding in GST and service charge. Oof, expensive but not bad. Would return again in the future given an opportunity!

Our final stop was to visit the famous Korean bakery, Bakery 1964 which had a pop up store at Bugis from now till 10 March. We went expecting a queue but there wasn’t.. because most of the good stuff had already sold out by then. I settled for just having their peanut crumb red bean bun which was OK I suppose. Their sweet potato bread came highly rated but at $5.80 per pop.. is a lil expensive.

Well, breakfast for tomorrow settled and off we head back home to chillax, watch some shows and called it a night before the work week begins again!

Gnite and thanks always for reading!
