Happy pre-birthday to me! I celebrated it slightly earlier with my mom and the mister over a simple meal with char Siew, roasted duck, veggies and rice/noodles for everyone in the comfort of home. Thanks to my mom for sponsoring meal and the mister for helping to buy! This amount was sufficient for all of us with just only SLIGHT leftovers!

Next up, a movie date to watch Blue Beetle – one of the latest DC movies, before we ventured to attend our first ever wedding show, Hitcheed held at Suntec City!

RSVPs are necessary mainly to collect your data before you enter so just be prepared for that. In turn, you can get a little voucher pack where you can redeem some freebies on the spot from some of the vendors. The super free activities include a tarot card reading (fixed questions), photobooth session, and even a rose gold plated pen with engraving with vouchers from some of the vendors there!

Meanwhile if you post/follow tag them on IG stories, you can redeem free bites from the gorgeous grazing table and ice cream to boot! Naturally if you made a purchase here at Hitcheed, they were holding giveaway draws at 8pm daily where couples stand a chance to win attractive prizes!

In our case, alot of stuff haven’t been firmed up yet so we were mainly there to browse through and enquire on package rates to do some research beforehand. Lol, what was unexpected (but yet expected), was getting “trapped” by the salesperson from one of the Taiwanese PWS company for close to 2 hours. And yeah we knew she gave us a pretty good deal, however we managed to garner a better one online so we got away with signing a package on the spot..phew. However, fingers crossed that the one we will be going for will be all smooth and good.

By the time we finished the first vendor, it was close to 630pm and I wanted to do the very popular tarot card reading about our compatibility (just for kicks) since it was free. This is a really popular one so the esit was around 40-50 mins before it was finally our turn! Sadly..this meant that we couldn’t visit the rest of the vendors cos they were all closing for the day during this weekend.

Well, that sums up our first wedding show for now. Fingers crossed there will be another major one coming up soon when we have more things e.g dates etc firmed up so that we can really get a better deal through these shows. Wish us luck!

Finally to end off the night, it’s time for a light dinner before heading home 🙂 Got home them to a birthday soup and red packet from my mom – 1 more sleep to my birthday!
