First up, my workout and downing some chocolate milk before we headed out for brunch that morning while the mister enjoyed the view of the beautiful coast from our balcony.

My one and only stop for now – at the famous Bam Bam Bakehouse for brunch. What’s recommended to order = their eggs Benedict croissant and that’s what I went for! Meanwhile, the mister went for the eggs Benny sourdough toast instead which tasted not too bad as well. However, I think their croissant really takes the cake as it was flaky and delicious, I enjoyed it! Would actually have preferred it with the croissant alone tbh but with the eggs Benny and ham wasn’t too bad a combi either.

Don’t forget to takeaway some of their famous bakes – try to order them ASAP as they get sold out easily because this bakehouse closes at 230pm!
The mister then dropped me off at Woolworths to pick up some water before I headed back to the apartment on my own to work / attend my team meeting while he ventures off on his own to explore Gold Coast on his little adventure without me 🙁

Oh well….work comes first unfortunately:( Luckily it was a relatively productive one today!
To end off the night, it was time for a homecooked dinner by the mister! We bought most of the ingredients from Coles/Woolworths the day before and just had to thaw them before cooking. I helped too, by mainly doing the preps/washing and such while the actual cooking was done by the mister hehe.
And here’s what we had – kangaroo steak, Portobello mushroom, broccoli and Dutch carrots, leftover prawns and some sides of potato and avocado to finish off. They were pretty delicious and of cos kudos to the mister for cooking this for us 🙂 Thank you!

We went out for abit to take a nice stroll to walk off some of the calories we ate today. Originally the plan was to visit the Beachfront Markets that happen every Fri, Sat & Sun but due to the upcoming airshow event this weekend I guess this was postponed instead. Nonetheless, it was still a nice walk and we also spotted alot of people watching the FIFA Women’s Cup as it was a match against Australia!
And that’s it for a slow day today, which is a nice break to chillax and get some work done on a holiday. Our Gold Coast adventure resumes tomorrow so stay tuned to find out what we’re up to!
