#WeekendsWithMitsueki: Work Out-Movie Date x Double Dating with Hawker Food x Mahjong Night – 8 July 2023

double dating and mahjong night july 2023

Good morning! I haven’t worked out for a week now so time for me to get back into a short work regime to kick-start my Saturday morning right! Plus with brownies, cake and an egg tart for brekkie of cos :p

Later on we also went to watch the latest Mission Impossible movie starring Tom Cruise and it was a thrilling ride that will you on the edge of your seat from start to end. The mister also remarked that the 2 hour 40 mins+ plus didn’t feel as long/draggy cos of that and it was a good Part 1. Looking forward to Part 2 once it’s out 🙂

Time for an early dinner later on with the #doubledate group at One Punggol Hawker Centre. This is our first time here and this place is relatively similar to Tampines One in terms of the layout, design and facilities. Punggol really is the next upcoming place to be with so many great development coming up suitable for families and kids especially for my generation. However, I still wouldn’t want to live here :p

Meanwhile the food here was alright, nothing too mind-blowing to shout out about. We shared the roasted duck pizza from Timbre Pizza, fried hokkein mee from Changi Village Hokkein Mee and a large rojak from Kim Bo Rojak. Personally I thought that the food at Old Airport Road Food Centre is better, but that’s my own opinion hehe. East side always best side whahaha.

Our next stop was to Punggol Marina Country Club where we were supposed to embark on a private boat charter with Get Hooked SG for a spooky night tour. As you can tell, we were all ready for it, boarded the boat and stuff and we were just about to leave the pier then..

.. it started drizzling and well, it was advised to turn back and reschedule. This is also for safety reasons as well cos the sea is unpredictable when you’re out there and you never know what can happen.

No matter, you can still have fun 🙂 And that’s what we did! Since we were relatively near the wife’s place, why not hop over for a mahjong session and maybe enjoy this watermelon coffee that she brewed for the mister too?

It’s always fun when you’re with the right company 🙂
