Lol, I wasn’t kidding when I said it was weekend full of pre birthday celebrations for the mister! This round, it was for him and my mom at Roland Restaurant at Marine Parade!

But first, a workout and prepping at the artwork, things to print for tml cos I gotta get them ready first!

It is recommended to make a reservation here especially during the peak weekends or holiday as they can get crowded like on this Easter Day.

We ordered a range of dim sums ranging from char Siew baos, to custard lava buns, CCF, Siew mai, porridge and more to share. Just don’t come here with high expectations as they are quite average tasting.

The star will definitely be their signature Roland fried rice with plenty of garlic and seafood and done very well, alongside their tender pork ribs and of course – their famous chilli crabs which was the main reason why we were here for.

Okay, mainly it’s why I brought the mister here for because he loves chilli crab and this is my treat to both him, and my mom at the same time! The general promotion here fyi (for 2023), will be 2 crabs for $88++ with a choice of one sauce. Think the 2 crabs make up to more than 1.2kg which is a good deal, and cheaper than their normal crabs off the menu. Most importantly..the mister enjoyed it and that was what mattered the most to me 🙂

We also ran errands on this day and dropped by my cousin’s place to pick up some food before finally calling it a day to chillax and watch movies (Shazam!) + Netflix (Copycat Killer) in the comfort of his place.

Not forgetting to pick up some ice cream nuggets from Swensons which I got for him as our monthiversary treat!

Sadly, all good things must come to an end..just like this awesome long weekend. However, at least there are always things to look forward to – just like our short getaway next week to celebrate his actual birthday.
