Sunday is my me time / rest time for the hectic week ahead. Would only be meeting the mister for dinner while the rest of my time was devoted to sleeping in, doing abit of work stuff, weekly household chores and more.

Also made a quick trip to Old Airport Road to get myself, my mom and the mister some teabreak snacks of my mom’s fave beancurd and trying out the newly opened Munchi Pancakes stall. Of which, the latter was great – even my mom enjoyed it!

Moving on to our dinner tasting at Ten+ located all the way at 65 Sungei Tengah Rd, it’s a pretty far flung place that needs minimally a car to get to as it’s quite inaccessible without one.

Ten+plus in a nutshell is Singapore’s first Safari / tent themed bistro offering a medley of East meets West food options and drinks to chill the day/night away. It would be better once the recent rain stops and I’m sure that’s when the safari tents will be filled up during that period cos it’s quite Instagram worthy/cool to be dining under a Safari tent. However, the seats are a little low so just fyi.

We sat at the normal seats and I enjoyed the chill vibes of the place with Chinese music playing against the cooling weather in the evening.

Here’s what we enjoyed – drinks of lime juice ($4.90) and a lychee pea cocktail ($12) for me.

This is followed by sides of mala kaarage ($13) and truffle fries ($12) which are great for group sharing!

For mains, many of the ones we originally wanted to try was sold out by the evening so we settled for the torched Aburi prawn pasta ($23) and the Asian style big breakfast ($18), which is essentially a plate of nasi lemak. Personally, I thought that the prawn pasta was a surprise hit, while I did enjoy the Asian big breakfast as well. These were definitely enough to fill us up for the evening, and best with my favourite company above all 🙂

Here’s how I ended my night being lovingly pampered by this wonderful man of mine – a surprise bar of chocolate, together with a new bag that I was eyeing from Artbox, a bite of that yummy Kaya Swiss roll from Rich and Good Cake Shop .. and a wee bit of retail therapy thanks to a Refash shopping gift card in celebration of our monthiversary.

I’m very very blessed (and thankful) indeed!
