It’s a WFH day for me today, especially after a late night out thanks to our company D&D yesterday!

The original plan was to head to office during lunch time as I had plans to head down for an onsite meeting/recce session at EXPO side. In the end, I guess it just became a normal day with a side trip to Expo with dinner plans in mind on the first day of Artbox 2023.

This is the first time Artbox is held indoors at Singapore EXPO so I was quite excited to see what they had to showcase. For the first time as well, this is a ticketed event with prices starting from $6 (including a $1 booking fee) if you purchase online. Also, each ticket only allows you a one time entry into the hall, no re-entry allowed.

Luckily it was ok for us cos in the end, we were there from 6-10pm+ for the whole duration!

On the whole, I actually enjoyed the Artbox experience very much. Mainly from a consumer standpoint, they did the spacing out of different activations and stalls very nicely so you don’t feel cramped. It’s not very crowded as well and even with it being indoors, they still managed to bring the Artbox vibes through the vendors, especially the lifestyle ones – almost similar to the Artbox experience in Bangkok!

For the food vendors, it’s not set up as nicely for some of them, however still okay la cos the main point is to eat. And boy, were we really spoiled for choice here! I’m also glad that the price point is not super steep – not pasar malam cheap, but not gourmet food expensive either with prices ranging from $4-18 on average.

Additionally, it’s nice that you can do quite alot of activities within this space. You can dine, chill, eat and listen to live music with your friends/families. There are play areas (arcade games/toy catchers), then you have those Instagram-able installations and artwork all around for the gram to snap those photos .. the sgag stage area with fun activities, the numerous lifestyle booths to do your shopping from and also other brand activations within the hall itself and many more.

Most importantly, I had a great time with the mister and my friends tonight. We caught up, celebrated a belated birthday and generally had a blast here at Artbox. It was a great way to end off the Friday right 🙂
