Today is a not-so-OT day, thank goodness. Actually there’s alot to do still but I had a prior dinner engagement so that made me move my butt to leave the office or else I would just be staying there trying to clear stuff :’)

That aside, here’s brekkie, another desk lunch (salad again), meetings and more and I was off at 7pm to not keep dear Cat waiting!

But first, I’m out of bread. And I’m at Orchard.

Soooo this means venturing a side trip to Shaw House to drop by one of my favourite bakeries in Singapore – Johan Bakery at Isetan. This is a really popular bakery and they have these amazing hard breads and more that even the mister appreciates.

Suffice to say..I was spoiled for choice and ended up with my favourite pineapple blueberry bread. It’s not cheap at $4.20 for half loaf (5 pieces), however I really like it so an occasional splurge like this is ok for me 🙂

Next up, off to Food Republic Wisma Atria we go! Don’t be afraid to set dinner meetings and meals at food courts because they are so much elevated now and the cost price is more affordable than going to a cafe imo. Of course, the prices are also not as cheap when you’re at Food Republic however it’s still okay la.

We ate at this seafood place called Yu Zhong Bu Tong which sells fresh grouper/sea bass fish soup (4 different bases) and tried the collagen seabass as well as the spicy mala one.

This is my second time trying them out and my favourite will still be the collagen fish soup. Again, it’s not that pocket friendly for food court food at $11.80 for a bowl of seabass fish soup and rice ($14.80 for the grouper).. but for the quality, acceptable.

More importantly as well, it’s the company that matters! We had a great girls-only catch up on a one on one basis over yummy fish soup, and then chendol desserts after, plus some retail therapy and post food coma stroll down Orchard road.

It was a nice break away from work for abit, but back to it tomorrow!!
