Today was a mad spam of back to back events/errands as the day of our trip draws closer and closer.
First up is a morning workout before heading over to Tim Ho Wan for a pre-Xmas dim sum lunch treat for my mom from the mister and myself. We were also there to try some of their seasonal menu items that I eyeballed for awhile and they were really not bad.
Fortunately the quality of the food is not too bad, albeit that the prices have increased but still, okay la. Also a special kudos to the mister for driving all day and specially surprising my mom with her favourite Popiah from Spring Court Restaurant by picking it up that morning before he came by!
Not pictured, but we ran a number of errands around including driving to my storage space to pick up my Bagpack for our trip, and then over to Jess’s place at Punggol to drop off their presents and Xmas stuff cos we had to postpone our Xmas #kderellas gathering cos she fell sick from her trip and more.
Our final stop per se was to the Museum of Ice Cream where we were kindly invited by them and BrandCellar to visit their Pink Xmas special! Be prepared to wear white/pink because these are the recommended colours to take loads of photos all around this lovely pink museum!
You start off first with introductions all around sharing your name, favourite ice cream flavour and most disliked with the group. Afterwhich, we all got to write our own self invented ice cream name tags and stuck it on.
From here, you have 14 different rooms to explore and interact with, with 4-5 ice cream pit stops along the way. I won’t spoil y’all too much with my photos so here’s sharing some snapshots taken along the way.
All I can say is to bring your childlike wonder and joy because it’s like a kids playground where both kids and adults can have fun at because who can resist ice cream?!
Did I mention the ice cream are all free flow?
This also makes it a good date place for couples like us to make great memories so snap those photos away! You’ll definitely be spending at least 1-2 hours here, depending how long you take to snap photos and eat. It could be even longer if you take your time 🙂
You can end off your day/night at their Souvenir Shop and cafe/bar to chill after.
Or, head over to Dempsey Hills for a nice dinner date at one of the many beautiful restaurants all around! We love how it feels like US/Australia because the place is so spacious and the 1-2 storey shophouses gives off a whimsical vibe not commonly seen in our city area of Singapore.
Since Orchard Road was just down the road, we decided to take a drive down to view the Christmas lights ups on the great street all the way from the main Orchard Road belt to Dhoby Ghaut area – definitely a different way of viewing them this year rather than walking at Orchard Road.
Came home to a pair of surprise fluffy bedroom socks that he got for me for our trip, and my vaccum travel bags are here!! Woohoo~ I think I’m almost packed soon!
T-4 Days to go!!
