Good morning on Day 2 onboard our 4N Royal Caribbean cruise on the Spectrum of the Seas!
Today’s actually a really chillax day for both of us since we chiong-ed most of the activities in our last cruise back in 2021, so this round we decided to take it slow, relax and do our own thing.
Missed out? Here’s the travelogue so far:
- #MitsuekiTravels | 4N Royal Caribbean Spectrum of The Seas (Day 1) – 30 Jun 2022
- #MitsuekiTravels | 4N Royal Caribbean Spectrum of The Seas (Day 2) – 1 Jul 2022
We started off the morning at the Gold Dining Room to have a full fledged breakfast with a selection of pastries to begin with, followed by fruits and a full English breakfast for the mister, while I had a salmon and mushroom omelette. Freshly squeezed fruit juice were also available where opted for orange juice each and it was absolutely delicious.
We spent the rest of the time within our room catching up on all the Disney+ shows that I’ve missed out on when I was down with COVID+ last week – so that’s two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ms Marvel while chilling. Since we were already comfortably in the room, naturally room service is a must offer and this is complimentary for all Sky suite guests!
Here’s what we ordered – Grilled cheese sandwich, quesadillas, the Royal burger, baked salmon, chicken wings, side salad, chicken noodle soup and of course, fruits as well.
Suffice to say.. consuming all these calories guaranteed myself a knock out cos I had a very fulfilling afternoon nap from 3-5pm+ before waking up to watch an episode of The Young Files of Kendaichi before heading for dinner.
Yeah literally today we pretty much ate, slept, watched stuff, ate again and watched things lol.
Something different from today – we tried Silver Dining Room for dinner where it’s a mixture of ala carte from the menu, and a buffet counter. The mister only ordered the ala carte dishes while I took my fill from the buffet. Generally I would say that the food options are similar to those at Windjammer, except in a more private/atas dining area and less options.
Overall, its okay. However, I still prefer Gold Dining Room as it’s more exclusive!
We ended off the night with back to back shows as our entertainment – the magician show at 930pm, followed by their live production called The Silk Road. All in all, you’ll never be bored onboard the ship with so many entertainment options for you!
Don’t forget that your room attendant will always prepare your cute towel art and turndown service when you head back to your room after that 🙂
And that’s it for Day 2 of our cruise! Read on tml for Day 3 – thanks for reading!
