Office Diaries (SP Phase 2 (HA), Day 162 (Day 697): Healthy Fish Soup from Wang Yuan Fish Soup x Satay Night – 9 Mar 2022

office diaries wang yuan fish soup

My daily mornings with the Mister = exchanging our morning breakfast meals on WhatsApp – his with the usual coffee, and this time, the bread I got for him the day before while on my end .. it’s the usual Jenny’s Bakery paired with some vegetable juice!

For today’s lunch, I decided to try out the newly opened Wang Yuan Fish Soup, their second outlet in Singapore near my workplace! I’ve been following their socials for awhile now and am always impressed with the phytonutrients broth that they are always shouting about and wanted to try it!

The meal here isn’t the cheapest however with the most affordable set meal starting from $6 per bowl for their fish soup with an option of two vegetable choices.

Note however that the vegetables choices are ON TOP of their usual veggies so this fish soup is a great choice if you love your greens and want to eat healthy. They also claim that their broth is packed full of nutrition with no MSG – perfect for office ladies like me looking to control the diet!

It’s also my first time at this coffeeshop near my office and I’m pretty impressed with the food offerings here. Will definitely be back to try Pancake King and the other lor mee stall next time!

Meanwhile back to my very healthy fish soup from Wang Yuan Fish Soup! I chose a mix of broccoli and cauliflower and it came with a nice portion of fish and other vegetables in this nice clear broth with an option to get their mixed brown rice for an additional 50c (total $6.50 for the meal and no takeaway charges). Be sure to help yourself to their special chilli and pork lard (!!!) that goes very well with the fish / fish soup in general.

Overall, a pleasant healthy meal coupled with my lunch time meeting later than afternoon! Will be back here again 🙂

Finally, to end off the night later on = it’s another evening at the Mister’s place with some satay from Chye Seng Satay (Old Airport Road) with their special pineapple peanut satay sauce, fruits, some housework, admin work done on my end, and the usual blog scheduling to ensure all things are all good to go!

A fruitful day today and a chiong-ing one tomorrow cos I’ve gotta leave on time for once this week (6pm!!) to get to my classes!

Wish me luck xx
