The weekends are here and the Mister and I are off to Sentosa for our long awaited post- Valentine’s Day staycation at Oasia Resort Sentosa which we won in a recent giveaway last 2021!
But first, breakfast of McDonald’s cos there was a 20-30% off promo that morning!
Be prepared for a longer check-in time because they are very detailed and you’ll be offered their signature tea blend (depending on your choice of Refresh/Recharge/Rejuvenate) and towels while they help prep your room in advance. We also went in earlier to try to check in as per requested and the service provided by Shane was impeccable.
All requests were fulfilled and they also granted us a late check out on that day too. What was a nice touch is the complimentary upgrade to the junior suite and helping us to book all the wellness activities and dinner for that night!
You’ll also be personally escorted to your room upon checking in with a call to their reception a dial away to cater to all your needs. Perfect!
Here’s a quick room tour of our junior suite at Oasia Resort Sentosa starting with the cozy living room area with a sofa, ambient lighting and a TV. You can also find a range of wellness snacks and drinks provided by the hotel here for free!
Then on to our bedroom where you can the high ceiling with a comfy bed, TV, study desk, hot water flask, mini fridge with free water (still and sparkling), alongside their special Oasia tea blends and coffee capsules.
There’s a mini walk in wardrobe in between the bathroom and the bedroom itself where you can find the closet, ironing board + iron, hotel slippers, bath robes, drawers and a place to place all your belongings.
Moving further in is the bathroom, which is also connected to the living room outside via a sliding marble glass door.
Not all rooms come equipped with a bathtub but ours did and it was a nice big one good for two for a nice soak. The toilet and shower area (rain shower or wand) also comes separately in their own cubicles and of course, the usual bathroom amenities are provided.
After checking in and relaxing for abit, we headed down for the next item on our agenda aka, a rejuvenating massage session at Oasia Spa located within level 1 of the hotel. This was also inclusive with our giveaway prize and we made sure to utilize it on the day itself!
Unfortunately, as they only had limited couple rooms – the mister and I had to do our massages separately but that’s okay! We went for their signature Oasia massage for one hour and it was a pretty decent one and my masseur took care of me very well!
After the massage, we could also chillax at a separate room with a hot tea and dehydrated fruits on offer to help yourself too.
Moving on next is our bath bomb making session at the wellness lounge. This is a complimentary activity only offered to guests staying at the wellness rooms but we did manage to garner a booking here upon request.
It was pretty fun and simple and within around 30 mins, we all made our very own bathbombs in two sizes, big and mini! They were then left overnight as they would need to be set for at least 8 hours before we could collect them. Don’t worry as well, the staff will help package them for you!
To round off our wellness escape here at Oasia Resort Sentosa, we also booked ourselves in for a 1 hour complimentary yoga flow session marking our first ever couple yoga session!
Beyond that, you can always take a dip in the pool (open from 8am-8pm), or work out at their 24 hour gym.
Finally, we ended our night by dressing up after a quick shower for a dinner I’ve been looking forward to at Bedrock Origins. This is also their only in-house restaurant within the hotel itself where you can get all your meals from (breakfast/lunch/dinner) at 20% off as hotel guests.
The resourceful mister however, managed to find something even better – a 1 for 1 voucher on their mains for $20+ if you sign up for their membership garnering you savings of at least $70-80 if you opt for one of their expensive cuts at $90-$100+ like what we did!
We started off with the free starters of freshly baked flat bread with butter and a clove of garlic – delish.
For our mains, we enjoyed the USDA dry aged ribeye and Bedrock Pepper Steak at $108 (1 for 1), their famed Mac and cheese ($22) and a side of asparagus ($18) for some greens.
And after having this meal, we can easily say that this is one of our best steak meals we’ve had – even better than the ones we had at Chops Grille! The Mac and cheese was also done perfectly and so was everything, no regrets and we’ll definitely be back!
You know what made our night even better?
Returning to bath salts placed at our bath tub for a nice hot soak and a complimentary cake and handwritten card courtesy of the staff here at Oasia Resort Sentosa.
