All I know is that mine started off great with a final workout for 2021 to start my day off, paired with healthy treats of my honey granola + pistachio & puff rice from REVIVE Nutrition (quote MITSUEKI15 for 15% off!) and fruits before meeting the Mister for a movie date with The King’s Man.
Speaking of the latter, the movie is a prequel to the original Kingsman. Sadly, it doesn’t have as much comedic or cool elements that was the backbone of the original as it explores more of the origins from hundreds of years ago. However, it does have cool fight scenes (swords anyone?) and they also attempted to weave in emotional / war scenes.
Personally I feel that there is a slight disconnect when I watched it as there were only small elements that connected the origin movie to Kingsman and they felt slightly like different or separate movies. Not to say it was a bad movie, instead it was actually not bad and we both enjoyed it. Nonetheless, I’m looking forward to the next Kingsman movie cos manners maketh man afterall :p
We headed to Bugis+ after the movie to tick another item off the Mister’s to try list, aka Coco Ichibanya – my absolute favourite Japanese curry place in Singapore!
No regrets as the curry (medium level for us) tasted amazing! We both had the pork tonkatsu with omurice and as you can tell from the pic = we slurped up every inch of that delish curry! Yumm!
Oh yes, sets are available as a top-up and I went for the full works with a miso soup, drink and salad, while the Mister went for the drink and salad option.
Overall, we’ll definitely be back 🙂
Since it’s New Year Eve, albeit a super rainy and cooling one – we headed next to Marina Bay Sands as we heard that there was a light show that we could view. There isn’t a fireworks display here for the past two years due to COVID but hopefully, it will return in the future.
For now, it’s just lovely to be able to end off 2021 with your favourite person 🙂
Here’s my final way to end off 2021 = opening my recent shopping loots from Topazette = yay my CNY (Chinese New Year) clothes are here!
Time really flies and it will be 2022 tomorrow. May we all step into this roaring new year with renewed hopes, wishes and dreams – HUAT AH!
Most importantly, thanks always for reading! (P.s 2022 marks a DECADE (10 years) of blogging for me, woah!!)
