Hohoho it’s really a jam packed fun filled National Day weekend for me this week!
Have you read Saturday’s post yet?
- Weekends with Mitsueki (CB Phase 2 (HA), Day 17 (Day 485): Good Start x Outdoor Picnic Lunches (L’eclair Patisserie & Esora) x Suicide Squad x Epikebabs & Popeye’s Dinner x Bugis Street Shopping x Chill Out Mode – 7 Aug 2021
For today, my morning started off as always on an early note doing my own thing before heading out for lunch!
Can you believe I travelled down all the way to Holland V for this lunch place that has been on my to try list since last year?
Well, I did and here I was, picking up my Sumo Salad.
Before chancing upon the MOS Burger Express outlet where we got the XL Wagyu Menchikatsu cutlet.
And then off to Tai Cheong Bakery to pick up some egg tarts cos my dining companion has never tried before!
We also made a quick detour to pick up my preorder at Cheeseky, walking distance away from Holland V. You can also find Kin Hoe around the area too!
And here we go, our fabulous “picnic” lunch date with an assortment of different food items to try! Yums!
With a full tummy and fingers crossed that it wouldn’t rain – we were then off for our 10K Southern Ridges hike starting from Kent Ridge Park!
If you recall previously, the first time hiking here was with Claire where we got horribly lost. Have been meaning to come back again but I always thought I would do it solo, and not with a partner .. but I guess life just works out that way haha.
Armed with the knowledge, it’s easier to navigate since I’ve kinda recced the trip before so this means we could do a little meandering abit. It was a fun hike!
Fortunately, the weather held out for us for 5/6 of the way till the end, so the trusty umbrella was whipped out. Otherwise, a great one all in all as we made our way down to Harbourfront MRT!
Our reward after our hike! An ice cream scoop from Baskin Robbins!
Followed by a trip to Donki to pick up some dinner!
We also popped by the Toy Art Festival at Harbourfront Centre to take a look see and unexpectedly had a good time meeting the artist in person and his partner there – Takahan and Stephanie! Really lovely and passionate people and worth a visit 🙂
Here are some of my favourite works! And I really like some of the Funko Pop items on exhibit (just 1/5 of Takahan’s collection!).
Fun fact, we featured them on THIS particular weekend what to do on SG Lifestyle HERE!
Ending off the night right with our dinner feast reward and a stroll down the Sentosa Boardwalk.
Good enough today 🙂
I’m pleased. And of course, lucky and always blessed.
