Weekends with Mitsueki (CB Phase 3, Day 56 (Day 321): Second Chances x Attending my first COVID-19 Wedding @ Warehouse 16 x Many Firsts! – 21 Feb 2021

weekends with mitsueki covid 19 wedding

I was pretty excited for today cos it’s my first COVID-19 wedding (and an important one to boot!) later that evening!

But first up, an overdue workout cos I’ve been procrastinating and a slightly healthy lunch! (Sadly, marred by 5 pineapple tarts that I scoffed down later on lol).

I also decided to give Darling in the Franxx a second chance and actually, okay not bad. Am on track to completing the season 🙂

I guess sometimes giving a second chance works out fine!

Meanwhile, I’m all prepped up with my new mask from Sarah, red packet with my new Tory Burch bag (first time carrying it out!), my first time being my own driver to a wedding and my first time wearing a jumpsuit / sneakers to a wedding.

Coolest dress code ever right? Hahaha afterall, comfort > trumps all!

Adel’s wedding was held at Warehouse 16, a venue off the beaten path and parking is a little limited around the area. I did however, squeeze my mom’s car in between cos omg I forgot how to do parallel parking (HHAHAHAHA) and got there in time.

The entrance is hidden at the back and you enter it into a whimsical and lovely setup. Thumbs up for a silk mask as a wedding favour 🙂

What I loved was the decor of the place! It’s done up in a rustic charm; sort of the type that I once envisioned my own wedding to be with gorgeous blooms, whites and wood everywhere in an intimate setting for less than 100 pax with a max cap of less than 8 pax per table to upkeep social distancing measures. For the others, they joined in the celebration via Zoom call.

So yes, I feel so privileged to be counted amongst the guests! 🙏

Let the bridal walk in and solemnization ceremony begin!

And then they were husband and wife 🙂

Congrats 👏👏👏😭😭😭

Now onwards to the food and drinks!

I was expecting single-serving plating but what it was = communal buffet style serving! Definitely a very interesting experience from the usual 🙂

Let’s just say that the bride and groom made sure that we were all well fed from the buffet dinner to the unexpected lohei before ending off with desserts 🙂

Drinks are also free flow and we had a couple of alcoholic / non-alcoholic drinks to choose from.

Fun with colleagues, both current and ex!

But most importantly, photos with the stars of the night!

Congrats Adel and Patrick! 🎉🎉 and thank you for inviting me 🙂

Blessed as I said to witness their forever union and wishing them nothing but happiness and 早生贵子! 🙊

#HUATAH!
