Tee-hee, I’ve been waiting for this day for awhile now, cos it’s an important day for the bestie – and naturally, as HER #1 bestie/fan, I gotta be there to support her! Yayyy!
But first, one of those gu Lou rou salad lunches!
And then dressing up for abit and putting on a pair of new earrings! (Okay, not that new, but I rarely change out of my usual/classic studs!).
Off I head to the North (Yishun) to head back for my TCM slimming session at Han Dian TCM!
Tbh, I was kinda petrified about the weight gain cos I know I just eased back into office life with plenty of snacking in between especially at the start. However, I was quite 乖 for this week, starting to say no / turning down on the teabreak snacks (mostly) hahaha.
It wasn’t easy.
Fortunately, that worked because my weight maintained from two weeks ago!

Unfortunately, that’s also NOT the plan because I’m supposed to lose the weight la. Hhaahha, luckily I didn’t get a scolding from Dr Huang, but she did share multiple reminders that I need to control my diet if I actually want to see the results and shed off all that weight!
Moving on to more fun stuff! Basically, I traveled down from the North (Yishun) all the way to the South-Central (?) for one thing and one thing only – dropping by the Urban Ventures street party held at Keong Saik Road!
I’m absolutely HORRIBLE with directions so I literally kinda followed people around hoping that they would be heading to the same place hahhaa. 我在后面跟你 ok? LOL
P.s the first person whom I followed led to a dead end (he was lost too LOL). But fortunately, the other couple I followed instead headed in the right direction! More importantly, I followed the sounds of the music and tadaahhh.
Welcome to the Urban Ventures street party!
Basically, the whole of Keong Saik Road and Jiak Chuan Road was closed off to traffic for this entire day from 3pm-11pm for this event!
Fyi, I didn’t include this in my event round-up for SG Lifestyle since it’s a one day only event however (just in case you’re wondering) as my usual weekly roundup focuses only on events that run over the ENTIRE weekend!
However, I’m not here for the street party, the booze, nor to shop.
Instead, this is WHO I was here for. Hihi!
Yeppers, in a nutshell – this would be Crystal’s FIRST ever public performance and as mentioned earlier = as her proud bestie = I gotta be there to support!
And phew, luckily I did because I had a great time checking out the rest of the girls individual/group performances (10 of them!) which they really worked hard for!
Here’s sharing a snippet of what you missed!
Hot damn right?! 🔥
Lol I felt like some kinda proud Mama hen supporting/watching Crystal perform – whipping out my phone to record her performance and everything. 🐔🤱
I also shared a few video snippets on my IG stories at @mitsueki on that day so if you’re following me there, you would have been treated to a couple of awesome videos!
(See? That’s why you should be following me on Instagram!) 😜
Unfortunately, the weather didn’t hold up too well and it rained just before the girls could do a second performance and they had to call it a day. Nonetheless, they all did a wonderful job and it was a joy to watch! 😊
Those killer stilettos though.
And Crystal’s “conservative” 6 inch ones. 👠🙀
We went around checking out the rest of the party after the rain stopped and it was pretty happening + everyone looked like they were having fun!
Tbf, Singapore has ALOT of fun/interesting events and such happening every single weekend (both free/paid admission!). You just have to keep an eye out for them as my weekly round ups on SG Lifestyle only covers a small snippet of what we have to offer in our little red dot! ^^ #supportlocal
We didn’t stay on too late for the party tho cos $$ and we wanted a more affordable meal, thus ending up at a ramen joint over at Tanjong Pagar area!
It’s my second time here and personally I think my usual fave ramen place (just opposite this place in the same area), is much nicer.
However, the portions here are smaller/affordable as they have a ladies mini set for $11.50++ compromising of a mini ramen + side dish + drink.
And yes, I know I’m supposed to stay away from carbs, soft drinks and the like (*cough, diet) but really, really, it starts tomorrow!! 😂
More importantly, I’m just glad to be able to hang with my bestie for this weekend 🙂
Great company really matters and I enjoyed my Saturday very much!
I hope you did too 🙂
