Moving on from my exploration of EmQuartier and Emporium in the afternoon – I met a hurdle when I was making my way to my next stop though in the form of a MASSIVE queue at the MRT which put a damper to my plans to reaching on time!
Btw, in case you haven’t read the earlier posts yet:

Ya, as in an FYI – you can’t use your BTS Rabbit card at the MRT. You need to queue to get the token if you don’t have the MRT card.
Rushed to my stop at Thailand Cultural Centre MRT and I was a little worried tbf cos my reservation was at 5pm and I reached around 515pm!
And where was I?
The famous Big Dog Cafe!! Yay!
Hahahaha I actually made the reservation one day in advance from their Facebook page and luckily managed to book a slot!(:
Do leave your footwear and exchange for their slippers.
They have selective slots per day as follows and I went for the 5-7pm slot! Except I was late at 5.15pm! Luckily it was all good though (:
Coming late means you miss the first part of the slot as the dogs are let out at different timings! They have about 30+ dogs here let out on rotation of around 15-20 mins per rotation of 2-3 dogs during the 2 hour slot and here’s the full list of dogs available!
Both dogs and humans are of course, equally eggcited when it comes to play!
Let’s just say that I had one of the most wonderful times of my life to be surrounded by all of these furry and fluffy big babies!
It may not be easy to get hold of one of these fluffies to snap a photo with as they are all very energetic and want to play so the staff will promote you to purchase the 150 baht dog treats.
Otherwise, you can request from the staff that you want to snap a photo with the dog and they will try their best. Again as I mentioned, it’s not easy ah!
Here’s spamming lots of happy photos(:
You’ll have a good time – trust me! And the staff are really nice to help me snap all my photos too(:

What was really nice is that even after the session ended at 7pm – you technically can stay on for the next session if you want to. The staff remembered that I missed out on the first few dogs so she asked me to wait till 730pm for the next slot. During this downtime, the staff will be cleaning up the playarea!
I was contemplating but was really thirsty and wanted to get some water from the nearby convenience store as well as buy the MRT card in advance so that I can avoid the queue (if any) later. So I asked if I head out and come back later and the staff were okay with it but reminded me to come back on time lol. Yay!
Two bottles of water and 1 MRT card purchased later, and then I was back in time to catch the corgis and cutie pompoms!
In total, I paid 235 baht (less than S$11) for the registration/play only. Spent a total of at least 3-4 hours here so it was well worth my time!(:
Went off next to my final stop for the night which is the Train Market Ratchada located at the same area! But first – I got distracted along the way by the street food and a pop up shopping street.
Wasn’t sure where it was but I followed the crowd and then tadaahh – I made it! It’s behind the Esplanade Mall btw!
Welcome to Train Market Ratchada / Train Night Market Ratchada / Ratchada Rot Fai Night Market!(:
It’s a HUGE open air night market with hundreds and hundreds of booths – come hungry and come empty handed for your shopping because these are the two main things that you will be doing here = SHOP AND EAT!
EAT!
SHOP!
Okay and DRINK as well after all that eating and shopping.
Oh ya you can also get your hair cut here and nails done as well!
It’s really really hot though so be prepared to SWEAT like crazy, maybe get a little disoriented and you’ll probably spend more than what you want to buy because everything just looks good to eat and nice to buy 😂😂
Here’s the downside of solo travel in a way – you can only eat so much so that’s pretty much what I ate. Couldn’t finish all for the most part but I gave it my best!(:
And not too bad la, I resisted the other temptations and only bought ONE dress (: I was so so tempted by so many stuff including the bags though but I just kept my mind focused on my budget 😂😂
My money flew freely when it came to the street food though LOL. Well 🤷💁
And that’s it for my Day 2 solo trip in Bangkok! Thanks for reading!(: Stay tuned to my 3rd day~
