Fatburger Singapore x Liquid Nights Zouk (Alan Walker & Seungri of Big Bang) – 12 Sept 2018

My day started off like any other – with writing as always; this time on my post on Three Buns Quayside and my upcoming brand collaboration with Lookfantastic!

Light fare of fruits and a sandwich (not pictured) for lunch cos I would be having a heavy dinner for the night so I’m saving my calories for that!

And where did I go for dinner that night?

A tasting dinner at the newly opened Fatburger outlet over at KINEX Mall (formerly known as OneKM) – welcome to Singapore, Fatburger!!(:

Rarely attend media tastings nowadays tbh but I couldn’t resist accepting this particular invitation as it was something I wanted to try and tick off my bucket list! If I recall right, this was a burger joint I wanted to try when I was in the States then but didn’t get to try till that night!

And yes..I know I just had the unexpected media tasting of burgers at Three Buns the day before so it’s like having TWO consecutive days of burgers in a row – guess now you know why I’m gaining so much weight and why I’m trying to cut my calories HAHAHHA.

Anw, Fatburger is basically like your typical fast food joint with the usual set up! And yes, Heinz brand of ketchup and chilli sauce 👍

Except with some unique factors:

A) All the burgers are fresh (no frozen meat) and made to order so expect a longer waiting time. Many burger joints are moving in this direction tbh. Well, good things must wait la(:

B) Many customizations and add-ons available for your perfect burger. For example you can choose between the normal broiche bun, wholemeal and even a gluten free option! This is something that you don’t really see at many fast food options.

For the beef burgers, they technically only have 5 official burgers – the classic Fatburger where you can choose between a single patty to double (XXL) / triple (XXXL) / quad (XXXXL), the skinny burger (patty as burger buns, no carbs), veggie burger, 1000 island and Western BBQ.

Note: prices are Carl’s Junior pricing but definitely cheaper than restaurant prices. And for the load of meat..it’s quite worth it 😅😅

Not kidding about the sizes of these burgers LOL! Most of the media went all out and attempted to go BIG – for photos and to try of cos.

Selfie with the infamous Quad (XXXXL) 😂

Some even attempted the Quad challenge to make it on top of the Wall of Fame and they made it!

I chose a respective double (XXL) and customized it accordingly to my preference.

KILLED IT. Yeah. Polished it off all myself wahahaah. Man, I love my burgers seriously lol.

If you don’t take beef, they also have chicken burgers, wings and salads under the Buffalo Chicken brand. The chicken breast/tenders = all meat!

Of cos there are plenty of sides as well! The onion rings are a recommended side and I like that you get a choice between thick and skinny fries! Sweet potato fries and chilli cheese fries are also available but I personally prefer Carl’s Junior version over the latter. The onion rings are better than Carl’s Junior tho imo!

And of cos, ice cream milk shakes – very decadent and frankly quite affordable. I like the chocolate and cookies and cream version!

Other behind the scenes for the media present and of cos the staff hard at work as always 😂

I also had the lovely opportunity to chat with Moe, the guy behind bringing the franchise over from the States to Singapore and he is truly passionate about the brand! Cheers for bringing it to Singapore, Moe(:

Their second outlet will be open at Novena Square but meanwhile, the first outlet I was at is at KINEX Mall, formerly known as OneKM Mall!

Hehe, my day night didn’t end there though, but just barely started! Headed onwards to Clarke Quay for the next thing on my schedule. Pretty happening place at night of cos and the bars there are pretty!

Where I went was Zouk nightclub instead with Crystal! It was both our first times here and we were there to attend the Liquid Nights event – a one night only event featuring Alan Walker, Seungri from Big Bang and Corsak!(:

It was also her birthday gift for me since she asked what I wanted for my birthday. Chose it cos I wanted to see Alan Walker live and cos Seungri is one of her Big Bang “husbands” – plus we have never been to Zouk before. Hehe win win situation for all of us! 😂😂

To say that it was a literal CRUSH is an understatement. My friend later told me that 1.4k tickets were sold (300 walk ins). It was insane seriously.

But despite all that – both Crystal and I had a BLAST!

Lineup that night was:

Corsak

Alan Walker

Seungri

Special performance of K391’s Ignite Live with Julie Bergen

It felt more like a concert vs a dance club tbh and we escaped the crazy sardine packed dance floor to the bar area to get our complimentary drink (we had coke, can you believe it?!) and grooved at the bar area rather than attempt to head back to the dance floor.

It was crazy lol. Think half of them were here for Seungri tbh 😂

If she didn’t have work the next day, we would have danced the night away. But unfortunately she did so we left around 230am-ish to get home.

Regardless, it was a FANTASTIC first time experience and I’m really glad to be able to do this with my bestie that night!(: Thank you for the experience my dear Crystal!! ❤️ An really so thankful and blessed! 🙏

Meanwhile, thanks for reading as always and enjoy the Sunday ahead everyone! ^^
