[Review] Hydrafacial Nectre treatment at Drs Chua & Partners Clinic

I believe acne/pimple issues are very common in teenager and adulthood, especially in ladies when they experience hormonal changes or during menstruation period. (Most ladies will agree with this, right….?!) Unless you are blessed with good genes and/or skin, acne breakout is a very much “headache problem“for us ladies.

Despite the fact that I already had my acne under control, I would still experience occasional breakouts during pre-menses period or work stress. (AND THIS CAN BE A VERY HELPLESS SITUATION!!!!!)

When I was given the opportunity to try a form of Hydrafacial at Drs Chua & Partners clinic, I took up the opportunity without expecting much results. BUT I WAS PLEASANTLY TAKEN ABACK AT THE END OF THE SESSION AND ONE WEEK AFTER.

I was excited to try the procedure but a tiny part of me was afraid that there would be side effects. Nonetheless, I went ahead for it and brought back some photos which I hope to share with all readers out there who are interested to know more about HydraFacial™ Nectre.

Located in a friendly neighbourhood area(it’s actually a stone’s throw away from Queensway shopping centre), I did not have much difficulty finding the place.

It all began with a simple registration of my particulars and I was led to the 2nd storey for a brief consultation with Dr Chua. He is a really friendly doctor (not to mention handsome too) who is able to answer all your enquiries and clear doubts on the spot. And I was further assured of the procedure.

Below are some of the photos taking during the procedure (Please don’t be shocked or grossed out by some photos because I was indeed experiencing a breakout at this stage)

The whole procedure was carried out by Dr Chua’s staff, whom was careful with each step. My initial worries of experiencing pain were diminished when I noticed that the substances were actually inserted into a “sucker” and the whole process throughout was just having my face “sucked” by the tool.

Of course, there were some which I experienced higher suction pressure, but I did not classify it as any form of pain. (which I am thankful) The feeling was like having someone sucking the face out of me. LOL LOL. HAHAHA.

The sucking has its benefits. Not only did it clear all the impurities on my face inside and out, but it actually planted substances on my face that would give positive results on my face; such as radiance and a “glowing”effect. However, the results would be more visible on the 2nd or 3rd day.

What’s important was…. There was no downtime at all.

Pictured above was the staff gently ‘rubbing’ the substance that was on my face, allowing it to be absorbed fully into my skin. (At this point of time, my skin had a ‘smooth’ texture to it.)

There would be redness after the procedure (more like pinkish) as the suction would “suck” any existing pimple out and “flatten”it (if you know what I mean)

As there were quite a bit of movements during the process, some photos turned out to be quite blurry. My apologies about that. As below is one photo in which one of my pimples has been sucked out.

It’s a 45-min procedure of constant sucking. And we are done! Totally painless.

The only downside of this treatment was the inevitable fact that I would experience a round of pimple breakout the next day. However, this means that the treatment is taking effect. It works in such a way that it will “trigger”any hidden pimples that may not be visible to the naked eye to appear so that they will not be kept within. Afterwhich, I would be able to experience a totally clear skin.

Fortunately, the breakout was not as bad as I thought and I was even secretly happy when I saw both of my cheeks turning slightly pinkish the next day. It was like a natural glow to it. However, the effect will only be continued if the procedure can be done repeatedly (e.g.: Once per week)

I would definitely like to thank Dr Chua for the treatment and enabling me to witness the effects. I am sure many girls would have preferred this treatment than normal facial as it actually gives radiance without the need to put on blusher or foundation.
