Food Review | Ginett Restaurant @ Hotel G

We had our farewell/welcome lunch for Pinky and Xin Yi respectively at Ginett Restaurant & Wine Bar located at the new Hotel G near our office earlier this year.

Ginett Restaurant @ Hotel G

Was drawn immediately to the bright, airy and super chill atmosphere of the place – a perfect place for groups to dine and chill during lunch or dinner!

The Place

More photos around the place! Love the high ceilings!(:

Tabletop setting! Love the placemats with cute quips!(:

The Menu

For your reference, here is the full menu! Prices are surprisingly pretty affordable though the variety is small. They also have a daily 2 course set menu going at $18 nett which is relatively value for money too. Menu changes daily for that (:

Complimentary Bread

Complimentary bread with butter served. Pity it was so hard; a better compliment only if you ordered soup.

2 Course Meal (Set Lunch)

Almost of us ordered the 2 course set meal where we could choose 2 choices between the starter/main/dessert!

For the starter, it was a choice between a salad and corn soup. Surprisingly those who ordered the starter had the corn soup. Thick and creamy; it was good!(: Color looks more like pumpkin soup though lol.

For mains that day, it was a choice between chicken leg with lentils and tomato based pasta with seabass. The chicken was tender but it wasn’t anything to shout about.

Meanwhile I had the tomato pasta with seabass. The sea bass was nicely done but unfortunately it had bones (at least 4 for mine and Vi respectively). Not sure if it was deboned right but a fair warning should have been given if there were bones in the fish.

Only Jaeq ordered an ala carte dish of salmon fillet. Looks good doesn’t it?(:

Those who chose the dessert enjoyed a poached pear tart with vanilla cream. Appearance wise it looks pretty but it fell flat due to the abundance of cream as the base.

Quite a few hits and misses throughout the meal – but still, given the opportunity, we may return once again to Ginett Restaurant to try their other ala carte dishes(:

Ending off with a group photo of my colleagues and I taken at Ginett!(:
