I was back again at Great World City – this time for a food tasting session at Jack’s Place with the bf!
Jack’s Place @ Great World City
Mm, Jack’s Place used to be my favourite steak place in the past and I haven’t been back for quite awhile, so I was pretty excited to check it out!

The Place
Not to worry, there are more than 1 Jack’s Place outlets in Singapore so just take your pick. The full list of the locations can be found HERE!
In general, each outlet looks pretty much the same, with the dark wooden furniture and green checked tablecloth that is quintessentially Jack’s Place!
The Menu
For this round, we were there to try out their newly launched U.S Premium Selection menu that features 6 new dishes as seen pictured below. Note that this menu is ONLY available at 2 Jack’s Place outlets – Great World City and The Grandstand.
The Food
We started off the tasting with a selection of 2 soups to choose from – the lobster bisque and mushroom soup. Personally, my favourite is the mushroom soup and it is a must order for me whenever I’m a Jack’s Place(: Comes with garlic bread in a basket as seen pictured below!
Lobster Bisque
Cream of Shiitake Mushroom
We tried 2 types of steaks available from their U.S Premium Menu! Do note that Jack’s Place is well known for their steaks so it is highly recommended that you order this(:
It is your personal preference to choose beween the striploin or ribeye but my favourite cut will always be the ribeye personally because it is usually softer imo. Their version is well marbled and comes in a huge slab served with a LARGE serving of fresh greens and their signature baked potato topped with garnish and bacon with tableside service!
USA Brandt Striploin Steak – S$35.80
USA Brandt Ribeye Cuts – S$36.80
Rib fans can opt for their bbq baby back ribs that have been marinated overnight with paprika spice and drizzled with pineapple bbq sauce. Very tasty and it comes served with criss cross fries and a side salad. My only gripe is that it is troublesome to cut it, hahaha but that’s just me being lazy!
Chargrilled BBQ Baby Back Ribs – S$36.00
Not a fan of beef nor ribs? Then you can try their pork dishes instead! Here you can have a choice between the grilled or fried version – it is up to you! I liked them both but the grilled one is healthier I guess hehe. Still, if you don’t really like your pork tough, then the rack of pork is a good choice because it is pretty tender and juicy! Love the mashed potatoes at the side! Huge portions as usual as seen pictured below(:
Grilled Kurobuta Pork of Rack – S$32.00
Kurobuta Pork Schnitzel – S$18.80
Desserts!
I cannot resist desserts after a meal, and apparently, so did my entire table! So we took the menu and literally ordered almost everything on it to share – ranging from the apple pie a la mode with ice cream, brownie with ice cream, banana split and many more! Hehe, for myself, I ordered their signature mango mousse cake – one of my favourite cakes from Jack’s Place! The desserts are nothing fancy nor special, but I would say it is pretty decent to order after a meal to end off on a sweet treat(:
Thanks once again to Sherill and Jack’s Place for the kind invitation!
