Loads of Christmas tastings this season but I’ve been quite selective in my tasting sessions recently due to work commitments and other personal affairs. Still, I knew I couldn’t pass up on a tasting session at MEDZS even though I’ve been there previously this year(:

Christmas Tasting Session
I’m just going to head straight into the main highlight of the session and the reason why I attended – it’s because of this beautiful log cake! By the way, this time round, I didn’t bring any of my usual +1 kakis but invited Mag (@Modgam) instead 😛
MEDZS Rainbow Log Cake – S$46.90 (1.2kg)
It’s not just any logcake because it’s my favourite MEDZS Rainbow Cake – in a logcake style; and friends would know that I always recommend it as my favourite rainbow cake in Singapore! So, naturally when I knew it was available in this form — I HAD TO TRY IT FOR MYSELF TOO!
If you have been following me on IG (@mitsueki), then you would have found these photos familiar because I posted them for your drooling pleasure 😛
Essentially, this is an upgrade from their highly raved rainbow cake with more flavors and crunch in each layers – cream cheese, orange cream, caramel, blueberry, peppermint and chocolate chips & almonds!(:
Belgian Dark Callebaut Log Cake ($43.90 for 1.2kg)
For die-hard chocolate lovers, you can try the Belgian Dark Callebaut Log Cake. It’s really crazy chocolate-y and very thick, I know Crystal would have liked it but personally, I prefer mine with more sponge(:
It’s still very IG-worthy too as seen on my IG (@mitsueki) 😛
We also tried some of the dishes off their MEDZS’s “Warm Gifts from the Heart” Christmas menu as below.
Oven Roasted Pork Roulade with Provencal Herbs and Confit Garlic – S$68 (1.2kg)
This is basically a rolled up pork belly with bacon and Medzs’ recipe nuts in the centre. Skin was nice and crispy while the meat was tender. Served with brussel sprouts and carrots – but personally, I prefer it without the gravy(:
Oven Roasted Crispy Pork Knuckle with Bratwurst – S$68.00 (1.5kg)
The meat was nice and flaky and falls off the bone easily, enjoyed the bratwurst but preferred the pork roulade over this(:
Mediterranean Spice Infused Turkey with Foie Gras and Chestnut Stuffing – S$118 (4kg)
I’ve always loved turkey – and now is the best time to have it since it’s the season! MEDZS version is decent and the foie gras x chestnut stuffing makes it a little more unique and relatively tasty!
Truffle Fries
This was an add-on from another table off the ala-carte menu – yay for truffle fries! To me, the fries were fine with the garlic mayo dip.
My table went crazy with ordering desserts because practically all of us ordered one each instead of a main course. And YEAHHH they are SO IG-worthy again, HAHAHA. Prepare for a spam of these photos on my IG (@mitsueki) soonish!
And sorry, I didn’t get to taste most of the desserts below other than the one I shared with Mag (@modgam) but reviews from the rest of the ladies at the table that they were decent but they prefer the rainbow cake(:
Cakes Cakes Cakes!
Chocolate Lava with Ice-Cream – S$7.90
Chocolate Souffle with Ice-Cream – S$7.90
Waffle Over the Rainbow – S$12.90
This was what Mag and I shared! Came with generous portions of strawberries, blueberries and mango as well as a large scoop of ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. Waffles was slightly on the dry side but fortunately, was redeemed by eating it with a bite of the ice cream.
Verdict & My Thanks!
In general, my advice is to order the main courses at MEDZS (please order the carbonara, it is DELISH! Stole a bite from Liqin’s table and omgggg!) and end it off with an order of the sliced rainbow cake for dessert, and your meal would be absolutely fantastic! 😛
Their Christmas selection is pretty alright too so if you’re interested to order, you can order/enquire at any of the 3 MEDZS outlets in Singapore. Collection will be available off the 3 outlets at your preferred location or if you prefer it delivered, it will be S$30 per order(:
