Troubled Universal Studios Singapore ride Battlestar Galactica closes for good
The Battlestar Galactica, a star attraction at the Universal Studios Singapore theme park, may be closed for good. The sci-fi themed rollercoaster, which has been closed since July 2013, will reportedly be replaced by a new ride by the end of this year.

It was reported in MyPaper that the new ride will follow a movie theme, and is expected to have new interiors and a fresh coat of paint, among other changes.
Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), which manages the theme park, has not issued any statements with regards to the closing of Battlestar Galactica. RWS has only previously said that the “ride is unavailable as it undergoes an attraction review”.
Battlestar Galactica first opened to the public on March 18, 2010 and features two coasters named Human and Cyclon. The latter features several inversions while the former is a sit down steel coaster with no up-side-downies. With a height of 140 feet, Battlestar Galactica is the tallest dueling roller coaster in the world. It was closed for over nine months, about a week after the theme park opened due to technical problems, when cracks were found in the seat-post supports of the coaster cars.

Not surprised that RWS does plan on replacing the ride, but will you miss USS’s Battlestar Galactica if it really does close?
I know I won’t because I’m scared of rollercoasters HAHAH! I literally screamed my head off at the Revenge of the Mummy ride and my legs were trembling for the next hour an hour after I got off the ride ;x
