Woman who bashed elderly neighbour charged with kicking police woman

The 41-year-old woman, who was caught on video beating up her 65-year-old neighbour on Sep 27, has been charged with kicking a woman police corporal and verbally abusing a staff sergeant.

The incident took place at a lift lobby in Chai Chee, when Casey Sabrina Ng, also known as Asha, approached Madam Toh Siew Hong and dealt her with more than 50 blows. She was subsequently arrested by the police.

According to a report on The Straits Times, Asha was ordered to be remanded at the Institute of Mental Health. Her next court date is Oct 14.

She is accused of committing both offences at about 10.45am on Saturday at Block 10 at Chai Chee Road. If convicted, she could be jailed for up to seven years and fined. It is believed the police officers were attending to a call for assistance after Madam Toh was assaulted.

The attack was recorded as Madam Toh’s relatives had installed a security camera in the lift lobby outside their flat because of concerns about their neighbour’s behaviour.

The victim is presently under observation at Changi General Hospital with bruises near her eyes, plus stitches on her face and at the corner of her mouth.

This woman is so bloody scary! Hope she gets locked away somewhere so that no others will come to harm just like that the poor Madam Toh. Hope she’ll recover soon!
