My Review (ESET Mobile Security for Android Premium)
I was given the ESET Mobile Security for Android (1 Year Premium) and boy was I glad to get it! That’s because I do download loads of stuff off the Internet as well as Google Play and I’m quite afraid that my phone is unsafe and prone to viruses and malware. But now with ESET Mobile Security for Android, I feel so much safe!(:
So here’s how the app will look on your phone after you download and install it from the ESET eStore.
- Enhanced Antivirus Protection & Scanning
The first thing I did was to click on the Antivirus to do a full deep scan of all my files and downloaded content. Hoho, luckily it doesn’t take as long as it does on my computer and yay – no threats found!(:
- Anti-Theft Wizard
The next thing I did was to activate my anti-theft function. I’m like super scared that my phone will get lost one day so this is pretty important for me. Loads of nifty little functions in it such as:
– SIM Guard: You can register your SIM card with the ESET Mobile Security so ONLY that SIM card will work with your phone. Like if you insert in a SIM card not registered, the screen will be locked and an alert SMS will be sent to your Trusted Friends
– SMS Text Commands: You can control the ESET Anti-Theft by texting commands to your phone from any phone. For example: you can find your device by GPS by sending the following SMS to your phone: eset find (input your security password here)
- SMS & Call Filtering
Basically it blocks incoming SMS/MMS messages as well as incoming/outgoing calls based on the rules that you set. Guess it’s good if you’re trying to avoid/ignore someone (or stalkers!) or get rid of unsolicited spam messages
- Anti-Phishing
Protect against phishing attacks and web-based attacks via malicious SMS messages, QR codes, or URL links.
- Security Audit
Monitor installed app permissions such as location tracking, access to contacts, or in-app purchases to close any security loopholes.
So yeah, I feel much more secure after installing the full version of the ESET Mobile Security for Android because my phone is much more protected from before – from viruses to malware attacks and even to physical theft!
That’s why I would recommend that you give ESET Mobile Security for Android a try(: It comes in a FREE and PREMIUM version whereby in the FREE version, you will be limited to the Antivirus protection and limited functions of the Anti-Theft.
But if you want the maximum protection that ESET Mobile Security for Android is able to offer you, you can just simply upgrade to the premium version at a low cost of S$12 per year(:
