Seventeen people injured in AYE accident

Seventeen people were injured in an accident involving a lorry on the Ayer-Rajah expressway (AYE) today (Sep 12) morning.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted at 8.15am to an accident on the AYE towards the East Coast Parkway, before the Jurong Town Hall exit.

The Straits Times reported that four ambulances were dispatched and the victims were taken to Alexandra Hospital and the National University Hospital.

It was also reported that there were no fatalities or critical injuries.

Even though 17 people were injured – luckily, there are no fatalities reported in this one, unlike the one I reported earlier..where a Singaporean woman died of her injuries in Malaysia.
